The scariest, most malicious, and dangerous alien monsters are now in Minecraft. Weeping angels – who are they really? How to defeat these stone monsters? Don’t look away, back away in the opposite direction as quickly as possible, don’t blink. Or?..

The mechanics of Weeping Angels are almost completely copied from the series. In total, three types of statues will be randomly generated in the world: snow angels in snow biomes, statues of angels scattered across the map, and… Those Very Weeping Angels, dangerous and unpredictable. The latter are easily distinguished – they are the only ones moving as soon as the player no longer looks at them. There’s only one rule of fighting such a statue: quickly turn around, and if the Weeping Angel starts moving, run as fast and far as possible. The other two types of statues aren’t dangerous, they just exist.

And, no, Weeping Angels don’t cause any damage. They didn’t kill anyone in the series either, doing much more terrible things: sending people to the distant past and feeding on their vital energy. There’s no past in Minecraft, so Angels work more as teleporters for a random distance, throwing the player almost to the other map end. In general, it’s not dangerous, of course, unless a lava lake is generated under you, but it’s extremely annoying. These are actually quite weak mobs, but it’s absolutely impossible to kill them. So, you can only try to escape from them.

In addition to the statues, the mod also adds a wooden coffin and quartz pedestals for decoration, if you somehow decide to create real game dungeons with cemeteries.

A new ore will also appear in the game. It can be used for one new mechanism only – a special chrono canon, which will help you neutralize the consequences of a Weeping Angel’s attack.

The mod’s another mechanism – a special sensor, which will make unpleasant sounds next to Weeping Angels, is crafted as a common mechanism made of Redstone and brick.
