There are many different mobs in Minecraft, both neutral and hostile, and each creature has its own health indicators, and some even have armor (for example, various skeletons and robbers). In the vanilla version, it’s impossible to find out their HP level, since the Mojang developers haven’t added any functions for that. And you either have to «read tea leaves» or use such mods as ToroHealth Damage Indicators. This is one of the best tools for displaying health bars for any creatures, both in the standard version of Minecraft and for other add-ons that introduces new mobs.
The ToroHealth Damage Indicators mod will in real time display how much HP any creature currently has, and it applies not only to mobs, but for players as well. For example, you are fighting in a PvP arena with other users. With this add-on, you can find out how much health the opponent has, what protection level the set he’s wearing gives him, and much more. At the same time, there’s a small preview icon so that it is clear to which creature the data applies. This is convenient if you are facing hundreds of mobs, and you don’t want to mix them up…
You still aren’t using the ToroHealth Damage Indicators add-on in your assembly, are you? It’s a pity! You’re losing so much! This is one of the best mods for displaying mobs’ and players’ health in Minecraft, which not only offers detailed information, but a nice HUD interface as well. When pointing at a creature, the system will automatically show its name, health status, and armor parameters in the left corner, and a small icon that makes it immediately clear which mob it goes about. This is a convenient mechanics, especially when you see many different creatures and need to find out the HP of a particular one.
If the mob’s health parameters change, then you immediately see all the changes on the screen. This is very convenient, as you can track how much damage you cause, how much is left before it dies, and drop. The same system works with players in Minecraft. For example, you fight in a PvP arena on a server. The system will show you how much health the player currently has, as well as what armor he’s wearing. When causing damage to the enemy, you’ll see how much each strike takes away. In about the same way, you can track the weapon parameters by testing them on other mobs. It’s enough to deal any damage to mobs and see how much HP each hit takes off.
Inside, there is a configuration file that makes it possible for you to customize the appearance and other parameters. Each player will be able to choose a configuration so that the gameplay is comfortable. There you can select the distance for displaying a HP level, the offset along the X, Y axes to select a certain position of the icon on the screen, show changes in health, and many other parameters. This is very convenient when the developer adds a separate configuration file so that each player can customize the appearance and disable certain options.
The main feature of the ToroHealth Damage Indicators mod is support for other add-ons. For example, you’ve added several mods with animals. The system will track them and show the HP of each creature. You don’t have to add anything manually or think about whether the health information of new creatures will be displayed. The integration is perfect, and this is a great job and the merit of the developer. At the time of writing, this mod has been downloaded more than 19 million times and is available for both Forge and Fabric, which makes it even more interesting.
We’ve already talked about another, no less global mod called Neat, which also allows you to view the health parameters of different creatures and players in Minecraft. Here, it’s up to you to choose which options are more suitable. But keep in mind that they don’t run smoothly together: one interface is overlayed on another, which results in problems. Check out our reviews and screenshots posted with this article and choose the most suitable option. Both can be configured, work perfectly with many versions, so the task isn’t easy.
In general, the ToroHealth Damage Indicators mod is often used in many mod pack assemblies, as it offers unique and useful functions and game mechanics. It works seamlessly, doesn’t actually load the system, and allows you to quickly get information about mobs in the game. Even if you install third-party mods that introduce some new creatures, you’ll immediately see how much HP they have. This system works for both regular game mobs and bosses. In general, it turned out to be a cool add-on to Minecraft, and if you have already used such a tool, write in the comments how you like the mod’s functions, and what other things you’d like to add here.
