Any in-game entity, be it NPC, character, mob, both neutral or hostile, is a target for many players surviving in Minecraft, but the developers from Mojang have not provided any means to understand how much health your enemy has. Suppose we shoot a skeleton or try to kill a ghast. How do you know when it is about to die? There is no way! You have just to shoot arrows or strike with a sword to the bitter end. Such mechanics do not satisfy many players. Moreover, when you are playing on a server and want to see how many HPs your PvP opponent has, you also cannot do that. However, you can install a unique mod called Neat, to be discussed below.
The Neat mod will add a special bar above any character, mob, or any other creature displaying its health points. That will apply both to the standard vanilla mobs and creatures from mods. For now, it is the most popular HP-related mod for Minecraft, which has been downloaded over 82 million times. Just imagine how many players use it in their builds!
Minecraft has always lacked a separate information bar displaying the health points of characters and mobs. Suppose a player needs to see how much HP a zombie or skeleton has after it falls from a great height to make their farm as efficient as possible. But they can only guess that in the vanilla game version. The same can be said about a usual fight with any mob. Indeed, even if you are almost dead, it is sometimes more reasonable to strike back than to stand still and restore health. However, the necessary information is not provided in Minecraft, and players have to rely merely on their experience and intuition.
But everything will now change because you have learned about the Neat add-on, which is the best mod in its category. It detects the HPs of any in-game creature, both in any vanilla game version and user mods. The designers are constantly adding new ways of getting the list of entities in various mods, so it can extract information from almost any add-on. If you install the Neat mod, you will see information about the health of any character or mob, along with the characteristics of their armor. That is convenient, especially in PvP battles, when players wear different types of armor sets and apply a wide range of effects in enchantments to them.
However, the Neat add-on has more than one feature, which is why it has become so popular and in demand among Minecraft players. They are as follows:
· It is a fully client-side mod that displays information about all the in-game mobs.
· The health bar is displayed only when there are no obstacles between the mob and you. So you will not have to witness dozens of indicators that appear hundreds of meters and blocks away, loading the game interface.
· The color of the bars changes from green to red depending on the amount of health a character or creature has. So it will be enough to see the color above the mob to estimate how many further hits it requires.
· The system shows detailed characteristics of each mob, including those of armor and enchantments.
· Grouping of health bars of mob stacks.
· Displaying the HPs of all players, including characters in a full set, wearing enchanted armor, and having status effects.
· Support for a large number of mods, up to 95% of all the existing add-ons.
· The possibility of fine adjustment, allowing you to configure different display options, the detail level, and other significant points.
· A special button for switching between health bars.
It can be said that the Neat mod provides you with new in-game opportunities. You will now be able to safely calculate how many hits are needed to kill a particular mob, player, or boss. This mod is also actively applied for testing new add-ons. Thus, when you do not know how many HPs new creatures have, it is enough to check their health bars and get the exact information. The mod requires Forge and is for now available for Minecraft 1.20.1.
We will be glad to see your feedback, so if you are already actively using Neat in your build, be sure to write in the comments how convenient the mod is and what its advantages are. Along with such add-ons, players often enable other bars and GUIs with extra information.
