Review The Graveyard (FORGENEOFORGE)

The Graveyard: Creepy Cemeteries in Minecraft

How often have you visited caves and various locations in the vanilla version of Minecraft? At first, it seems that nothing could be scarier than a random encounter with creepers or zombies. However, ghasts and ifrits in the Nether prove to be much spooky. But all this is nothing compared to what we are going to discuss. And if you are reading this article now, perhaps you have already decided to download a Minecraft mod called The Graveyard, which adds a large number of terrible cemeteries to the game world. They will be scattered across all the biomes, and you will be able to find them in almost any area.

The Graveyard mod adds not only new structures, though, but also a lot of mobs, unique items, mechanics, bosses, different types of blocks, and hundreds of different elements that diversify the gameplay and allow you to take a fresh look at the Minecraft game world. So if you have never installed horror mods before, it is time to consider using The Graveyard and appreciate what cool content its designers have prepared for you.

Review of The Graveyard Mod

The modders have made every effort to make a genuine horror game in the Minecraft environment. The mob brings not only a lot of new blocks but also new music created specifically for boss fights. However, all this is not as interesting as the new structure types.

New Structures for Minecraft

A structure is a small location, say, a building or a modified terrain generated by a particular mod. The Graveyard adds more than ten different structures to the game, each with a unique appearance, spawning mobs, loot, and many other features. They are as follows:

· Haunted House. You will have to unravel all the secrets of this dilapidated house to get a reward.

· Small Grave. You will often come across this final resting place during your exploration of the Minecraft biomes.

· Medium Graveyard. It is a large burial ground in woodlands that surrounds a temple. You can explore it, find loot, and fight mobs. Just keep in mind that it is doubly dangerous to be there at night.

· Mushroom Grave. It is a small overgrown in-game grave, which appears mainly in swamps, jungles, and mushroom islands.

· Memorial Birch Tree. It is a massive tree that appears in birch forests and looks beautiful and unusual.

· Large Graveyard. It is a huge structure in Minecraft with numerous graves, various riddles, and puzzles. It is full of dangers, and if you come there at night, you may die instantly.

· Crypt. It is a kind of maze filled with traps, loot, hidden locations, and other types of buildings.

· Ruins. They are ruined buildings full of the remains of their former owners and inhabitants. There, as in any other location, you can find useful materials, items, and, of course, mobs.

· Lich Prison. It is a separate floating island in the form of a prison that generates mainly over the ocean. It is a highly significant and eye-pleasing location brought by The Graveyard modification

· Dead Tree. It is a remnant of some terrible events that no one can remember.

There will be plenty of different places to explore and get loot, and as you progress and survive, you will come across them more and more often. However, the danger will await you everywhere. That is interesting and captivates literally from the first game minutes, but you should be ready for unexpected consequences. Moreover, each in-game location and structure is meticulously detailed and features all the necessary elements of the interior, exterior, and decor to emphasize its individuality. You want to visit such places not only for loot or PvP but also just to see how cool and elaborate they are.

New Mobs

Another salient feature of the mod is the large number of new creatures that will inhabit different game locations. They are notable for their elaborate appearance, unique characteristics, and behavior. Let us touch upon all of them:

· Skeleton Creeper. Despite being undead, it is a more skillful and faster creeper, which has lost its destructive power and cannot blow up blocks around but is quite ready to blind the player.

· Acolyte. It is an aggressive in-game mob that can kill you in a couple of clicks, and your bones will serve as an additional weapon for it. Its appearance is also impressive.

· Ghoul. It is a disgusting mob that appears from under the ground. It is distorted and can live only because of bones and hate towards players.

· Reaper. It is a ghost flying in the sky, which often spawns in graveyards and scares the players. It is basically cool, though, and somewhat similar to the vanilla allays.

· Revenant. It is a kind of skeleton with huge glowing eyes, which is, in fact, just human remains.

· Nightmare. It is a dark elongated mob that moves faster than it actually seems. It is better to avoid such creatures, as you will understand after your first encounter with them.

· Corrupted Illager. It is an advanced and fast undead mob.

· Wraith. It is another flying mob for Minecraft that will haunt everyone who desecrates graves.

For now, we have described only active and hostile mobs that attack you as soon as they see you. You should take into account that each creature has specific characteristics, spawn locations, and health levels. However, there are two unique passive mobs also brought by the mod under consideration, which do not actually touch the players:

· Ghouling. It can be summoned with a bone staff and will follow you in any biome. The staff is also used to command and control it. And if you need to manage your inventory, it is better to stock up on coffins.

· Nameless Hanged. It is an interesting mob for the game, suffering from eternal pain. It has a large number of rare artifacts, but it is not easy to meet it.

So are the new structures and mobs. Their set is indeed wide, and the detail level of all the locations and the appearance of each creature is high, which literally captivates from the first minutes. However, that is not the whole story, as the mod also adds different items.

New Items

· Sarcophagus. It is a final resting place that has become a whole warehouse.

· Fire Brazier. It is a dark iron bowl that spawns the soul fire when ignited and activated. The wow effect is guaranteed.

· Dark Iron Ingots. They are dark variants of iron that can be found in different locations;

· Glazed Urn. It is an attractive in-game urn used to store various things. It serves as an alternative to chests in the new design.

· Altar. It is a unique object that you can see in the lich prison.

· Ominous Bone Staff Fragments. They are important elements from which you can craft the staff itself.

· Gravestone. It is a custom monument that can installed by players for their characters, dogs, ocelots, horses, and animals.

These are only some of the items you will be able to take advantage of after installing The Graveyard mod. However, this list is enough to understand how cool and large-scale this tomb-related cryptic horror mod is. It can boast many elaborate elements and a large number of ready-made structures where the player can not only fight with different mobs and bosses but also get aesthetic pleasure from the exploration and appearance. The designers have tried to implement as many details and characteristic attributes as possible, and all this looks high-quality and colorfully compared to other locations.

So explore different types of in-game structures, visit all the possible locations to collect different artifacts, fight with all the new mobs, get valuable resources, and just enjoy such an atmosphere. We can say that it is one of the best spooky mods, and it is occasionally supplemented with new content and updated by the modders. At the moment, it can boast more than 6.5 million downloads on the official webpage and already supports version 1.20.1, so feel free to take full advantage of The Graveyard add-on right now.
