Sit – your character can sit

By default, the player can swim, fly, run, and interact with other animals and NPCs in Minecraft, but for some reason the developers didn’t add the ability to sit. Moreover, there’s even no default furniture for this, although the decor and furnishings in any building constructed by the player are very important in Minecraft. And if we can add some cool mods like MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod, Furnitura, Tanuki Decor, Adorn and many others to get new furniture, then there’s no way he can «sit down». To solve this problem, you can also install the Sit add-on, which adds this function to the game.

As you understood from the first paragraph, the Sit mod will allow you to sit in the game, using a certain set of functional blocks for this purpose. That is, your character will be able to sit down on a semi-block or a stone staircase, as if they were intended for this purpose by default. Thanks to this function, you can have parties, gather with friends, clans, discuss some ideas, and just have fun. Even if you play solo, the Sit mod allows you to create cool photos, shoot videos, and make screensavers.

The Sit mod review

The function of the Sit add-on is simple. From now on, any player will be able to «sit» on half-blocks and steps, and if you need to sit down or just make a frame in Minecraft, then you’ll need to install these elements, since the system doesn’t work with any other blocks. Not only vanilla blocks from the game are supported, but also from other mods, because many add-ons integrate a large number of new decorative materials into the cubic world, and you can often craft semi-blocks and ladders. Accordingly, you’ll also be able to make the character sit using the Sit add-on.

To make your character sit, you need to approach the required block and right-click on the upper edge of the block. At first, you may fail to get the right place to click on, but you just need to click the RMB several times so that your character sits down. If you want to get off this block, you’ll need to press Shift (the same key is used for dismounting from trolleys). We’ve added a few different blocks with ladders to show you how the character sits on them. It looks cool, and it’s supported by other mods, which is especially important for different assemblies.

By using the Sit mod, you can easily make your character sit on improvised types of furniture, on the roof, stairs to the second floor, steps at the entrance. This allows you to create colorful screenshots, various types of videos, and screensavers. Moreover, the character can also move on the block, which makes this mechanic even more interesting. It looks cool and makes even the vanilla version of the game look more real. In general, the Sit mod is widely used in many projects, especially on multiplayer Minecraft servers, where thousands of players from all over the world can play simultaneously.

In general, it can be said that the Sit add-on is quite good. It diversifies the standard Minecraft gameplay and introduces new types of actions for your character. Now, Steve has become even more realistic and lively and can interact with additional objects. We recommend paying attention to Carry On, which we’ve also reviewed in detail. With it, you can drag chests and other items along with the contents, holding them in your hands. It perfectly complements the existing functions in the game. And if your main goal is to make Minecraft realistic, then Carry On must be on the list along with the Sit add-on.
