Resistenza Mod Ice World

Resistenza Mod Ice World is a relatively small modification that brings you into the world of ice. First of all, the modification is designed for those who are fond of hardcore survival in especially difficult conditions, as well as for those who like various quests. The modification adds some new blocks, creatures, and structures, as well as a new dimension – a frozen world.

New Structure in the World

To go to this new dimension, you need to find an entrance. It is located in a special arbor, which can be generated in any biome with a rather rare frequency. In the very center of the arbor is an altar, which is uncraftable. However, it can either be found or taken from creative mode. By the way, you cannot destroy the altar – it cannot be broken, blown up, or moved with a piston.

Dimension Information

Before you leave for the new dimension, you should know that there is no turning back. Or rather, the way back is much harder. So, you shouldn’t go to this new dimension with bare hands. To teleport, you only need to right-click on the altar. On the other side, you will spawn in the same arbor, but there will be a regular chest instead of an altar. Inside there will be a bunch of logs, various tools, and food. This arbor is generated in the Ice World only once – at the point where you spawn. So, it is better to take these resources with you. It’s even better to disassemble the arbor since the new dimension «does not have enough» wood.

Dimension Overview

When you leave the arbor, you will find there is almost nothing here except snow and ice. However, there are bright and beautiful purple tulips, which can only be used to create the purple dye. Most blocks in mines are standard, but there are also new blocks. First of all, it is an ice stone and its derivatives – ice fences, bricks, and steps. There is also blue sand. In its properties and characteristics, the blue sand is similar to regular sand, but it is blue, which means it is frozen. The blue sand can be smelted into glass in the same way. In addition, there is a new ore – titanium, which can only be mined with an iron (or higher) pickaxe. After mining, the ore drops some titanium pieces, which can later be folded into a full-fledged ingot. If you initially use a silk touch pickaxe, you can immediately melt the block into an ingot, which is much more profitable and faster than collecting ingots from pieces.

Using New Ore

Titanium is a very useful material in the icy world. However, it is not used as regular metals to create tools and armor. It has a slightly different purpose. First of all, titanium ingots are needed to create various mechanisms added by the mod. These are a melting pot, a seed extractor, and a greasing table. Titanium pieces can also be used to create a special stick that, when attached to a bucket of lava, turns into a fire rod. Thus, these sticks can later be used to create a brewing stand and an ender eye.

Dimension Structures

You won’t be able to travel from the Ice World to the Nether since it no longer exists here. And you won’t get anything if you try to create a portal. But you can find various structures made in the same style – using bluish ice blocks. For example, there is a mushroom greenhouse. It is a small but fairly common structure in which a mushroom grows. There are also dungeons of three varieties – a tower, a fortress, and a futuristic structure. All these buildings are located on the surface. Inside all the buildings are spawners of blue translucent ghosts– these are frost ghosts. These mobs are undead, so you can use potions to defeat them. Frost ghosts hurl ice that doesn’t deal much damage. However, the accumulation of these newly introduced monsters can cause significant damage to you. Frost ghosts have one peculiarity – if you encounter them, you will be subject to the effect of weakness of the second level.

Using Structures

After you defeat the guards, you can safely take quite useful resources from the chests. Inside the chests, you can find a lot of valuable resources, in particular, well-enchanted armor, weapons, diamonds, and golden apples. The last item can only be found, which means it cannot be obtained in any other way. The most valuable structure of the three is a futuristic structure containing a nether excrescence and soul sand.

How to Survive in the Ice World Dimension

Despite the climate, there will be absolutely no problems with food. In addition to beautiful tulips, there is a sufficient amount of local living creatures and a large number of snow crops that can be used as food. In the new dimension, you will meet polar bears, hares, and snow pigs. However, keep in mind that crafting food will be slightly different from the standard way.

Snow Pig

If you kill the newly introduced Snow Pig, it will drop Raw Snow Meat. You can cook this raw snow meat in the furnace and get a hearty new meal. In addition, the pig will drop brown wool that keeps it warm. However, the newly added pig can be even more useful since you can milk it. So, the pig here is a source of meat, wool, and milk. But you cannot shear the pig, so you have to kill pigs to get wool. To breed snow pigs, use snow potatoes, which can also be found in the world.

Using Snow Potatoes

By itself, a raw snow potato replenishes 1 hunger unit. For some reason, you cannot cook raw snow potatoes, but you can create a potato and fish soup that replenishes 6 hunger units. You can also use potatoes to make Mongolian tea, which replenishes 4 hunger units. To craft this tea, you need fat, wheat, and milk.

Extracting and Using Fat

To get some fat, you first need to create a melting pot. By right-clicking on the pot, you will open its simple interface. Add coal to the first slot, a bucket of water to the bottom slot, and fill the last slot with any meat. Then wait. If you do not confuse the slots, the water will disappear from the bucket, and there will be fat in the last slot on the right. If you use fish instead of meat, you will get fish fat, which is used differently. Firstly, the fish fat cannot be used to make Mongolian tea. Secondly, it can be used as a good fuel, which consumes 1 unit of fat for 24 smelted items. Thirdly, you can use fish fat to create a large number of torches – you can use 1 piece to get 12 torches.
