What type of simulators could be represented in the world of Minecraft? It could be Star Wars, space battles of races, Pokemons, rangers, the Marvel universe, zoos, Jurassic Park, and much more. In Minecraft, there are almost all kinds of projects that will be popular with the audience, and if you are one of those who wants to try something new in simulator mode, install the Realistic Ants mod, which complements the cubic world with an ant colony.
You’ll be able to explore the ant world, interact with different types of insects, make wars if you accidentally step on an anthill, as well as collect them in test tubes to study. The functionality isn’t currently very broad, but the opportunities added by the Realistic Ants mod are still impressive, as is the drawing of all the mobs added to Minecraft. We highly recommend trying this mod, and have made up this detailed review to interest you.
From now on, an amazing new world inside Minecraft, familiar blocks, and items will open up before you, where you can study the behavior of ants and even interact with them. The Realistic Ants mod adds three new types of insects to the game, which have different behavior and certain tasks. By default, all ants live in anthills built by the queen. They protect their house from outsiders, aren’t very friendly to guests, and if you step on this structure, accidentally or intentionally, then be ready for war.
The mod totally adds 3 types of ants, with each species having its specific style of behavior, a certain working rhythm, appearance, and other distinctive features.
The Queen – just as in real life, the ant queen is the leader of the colony, and her task is to breed new insects. She is larger than the others, has a unique appearance and a certain behavior style. But even the queen will look very small under the player’s feet, and it’s quite possible to accidentally step on her. By the way, the Shrink, will come in handy here, which allows you to reduce or increase the size of any mobs, including the character.
Just as in any colony, there are guards here, which is a separate ant species. Army ants behave aggressively towards the player and will automatically start defending their colony if you step on an anthill or try to attack someone. They are by times smaller than the queen but have a large head if compared with the working class.
Worker ants are engaged in arranging the dwelling, and they are neutral towards others. They look smaller than the army ones, and at the moment are the smallest representatives in the Realistic Ants mod.
In the creative mode, you can use summoning eggs to spawn any available ants quickly. At the time of writing, there were totally 3 types of insects, divided by particular species. But you can also get test tubes with different ant species if you want.
Below, you can see what anthills look like in Minecraft. They usually take up a few blocks, but there are also huge structures covering dozens of blocks. The structure looks like a standard turf or a ground block but with a small hole atop of it, which ants use to move inside.
If you are interested in this topic, and you want to clone or breed ants in Minecraft, you can use test tubes for this. All you need to throw the insect inside, is to right-click on it, holding the test tube in your hands. You can release the ant later by holding the container and right-clicking on it.
These are all the functions that are currently available in the Realistic Ants mod, and if you are interested in insects, be sure to download and try it. The topic is interesting, the implementation is cool, but the mobs are really very small, and it’s very difficult to see them among the usual blocks and grass. The mod is available for Minecraft version 1.19.2, but so far it can’t boast of many downloads in the mod creators fan community. If you have similar mods or assemblies, leave a list of them in the comments, and we’ll surely review these add-ons in detail as well.
