Surviving in Minecraft is a whole challenge for players, even if you have already fully completed the game, defeated the ender dragon, managed to visit the Nether, and acquired all possible artifacts and valuable items. However, the vanilla survival is no longer particularly interesting, and many players are looking for various mods to slightly complicate the process. If you are among them, be sure to install an add-on called Rain of Hel that brings a hardcore rain and utter chaos to the game. Fireballs, tridents, dragon projectiles, and more will rain down from the sky…
It is a truly hardcore mod, as all your buildings can crumble literally before your eyes, and the only remaining option will be to erect a house out of obsidian so that TNTs cannot break it. As a result, you not only get a unique mode for Minecraft but also enjoy a cool visual picture, given that an altogether different atmosphere is created around you. You have certainly never seen such survival before. Already interested? Then, let us proceed to the detailed review of the mod, for which we have tried to take as many screenshots as possible for you.
The hardcore rain will change your idea of the apocalypse in Minecraft. While previously you could just wander around the game world without having to worry about any cataclysms, now you will have to constantly carry obsidian blocks with you since they will be the only means to protect you against TNTs and other stuff falling from the sky. Other materials will be completely useless. All because TNT blocks will fall from the sky with a certain frequency, and if such a block falls even near a building, it will be partially destroyed. Moreover, the system works in such a way that it actually rains only where the players are, whereas all other biomes remain intact.
Besides, numerous effects are imposed on the player if they fall under this rain: Levitation, Absorption, and much more. Theн can be both negative and positive, but surviving in such an environment is still a very difficult task. The rain attacks you literally at every step, and if you stay at one point, not a single block will remain from it in a few hours, and the height will be reduced to a negative level, as close to the bedrock as possible. Moreover, this rain rarely ends. All because the main idea behind the mod was to create a true apocalypse in Minecraft so that players could feel an altogether different difficulty level.
As we have already noted, TNT blocks will also fall from the sky and explode when they touch some surface, such as stone, wood, or water. Besides, you will see falling tridents, which will also cause extra damage to players and animals. You are certainly not used to such a sort of gameplay and will not be able to play normally at least for the first hours. The Levitation effect is applied to the player only if they are affected by the dragon's breath. Smoke clouds from such effects can gather in certain areas, and if you get inside, you will start floating in the air. However, after a few seconds, the effect ceases, and the character falls down, suffering additional damage.
The Rain of Hell mod enables the rain for any ready-made or generated map in Minecraft by default, but if you wish, you will be able to stop it using special commands. They are as follows:
· /ceasethemisery – stop the rain;
· /begintheannihilation – start the rain.
Both commands can be typed in the chat. It will be enough just to press T and enter them after the / sign. The system will indicate the error if you start typing the command incorrectly. The necessary phrase is usually highlighted, and it is enough to press TAB to add it to the chat.
Besides, a config file comes with the mod, in which the player can adjust the parameters related to the rain radius, the number of projectiles falling from the sky, entities under this barrage, and other equally important points in a couple of clicks. You should not use the Rain of Hell add-on on a server if your audience is not ready for such trials and challenges. It is recommended mainly for singleplayer mode to have fun, experience something ridiculous, and capture interesting videos for YouTube.
Those are all the features of the Rain of Hell mod, and if you have not tried such add-ons for Minecraft yet, be sure to download and test it. We have tried to provide as many screenshots from the game world as possible to show you how the biome changes when it rains hardcore. In just 10 minutes, the forest, clearings, and flower biomes became a lunar-like landscape, so you should be prepared for such an outcome. If you are going to test the Rain of Hell mod on a map with structures, be sure to make a copy of this map — otherwise, you will lose all progress and will have to rebuild everything.
