Review Protect It

Protect It – Protect your territory

For the game of Minecraft, numerous different servers have been developed, where players can fly, return to the place of their death in a single click or even become absolutely immune to various factors. But at the same time, some projects still offer users a fully vanilla style, where they have to build, use standard methods to extract resources, protect the territory with traps, which is really interesting, since this is what Minecraft was originally intended to be. However, there’s no protection from grippers and other users, including in single-player mode, if you’ve invited the players to your place.

The Protect It mod will help you solve this problem, since it allows you to protect your home or an entire territory from other users’ activities. They won’t be able to break blocks, interact with buttons, doors, chests, install pistons and set them in motion, set trees on fire and much more. This is a complete alternative to World Edit and World Guard – popular server plugins, but these add-ons require an installed server. Unlike them, here any player can add the mod in their build and protect their save from third-party players.

The Protect It mod review

So, how can you protect your territory from other users? Standard Minecraft tools don’t allow you to do this, and you have to invent all sorts of traps and other protection options to prevent third-party players from penetrating the territory. However, now any of you can download the Protect It mod and protect the selected area. It’s blocks that make the whole process possible by laying claims to the land plot.

In total, the Protect It mod offers several such blocks with their own action radius:

· Yellow (small size) – 8*16*8 blocks;

· Blue (medium size) - 16*32*16 blocks;

· Green (large size) - 32*64*32 blocks;

· Black – deletes the territory that you’ve made private.

As you can see, the Protect It mod and several markers make it possible for you to quickly make the territory private by using different areas. It’s the project administrator who determines which blocks will be available for crafting, and if you play in the usual single-player world of Minecraft, then you can use all the types by default.

At the same time, it’s also important to know that in the Protect It mod there are several teams that help to set certain rules for players who enter your territory. We’ve described all the most important operators so that you can quickly protect the selected area and set the corresponding rules.

/protect [block | pvp] [list | rename | whitelist | give] – this command and operators allow you to choose whether to block PvP in the territory or not, the users who can access these actions and much more;

/protect-ops [block | pvp] [add | remove | list | clear] [pos | uuid] – this option is already used mainly by administrators.

As an example, we’ll now show you a few default commands that the mod developer used as a visual example:

· /protect block add 0 63 0 10 63 10 – The selected territory is protected from all players by default;

· /protect block add 0 63 0 10 63 10 @user – The selected territory is protected from all players and belongs to the user;

· /protect block remove 0 63 0 10 63 10 – Delete all means of protection.

If you want, you can also use whitelists to quickly add or delete players for your territories. At the same time, these users will receive the same access level as the owner, so be careful when using such systems.

According to the developer of the Protect It mod, now his add-on protects from such actions as – destruction of blocks, movement of pistons, explosions, blocking of tools and weapons, spread of fire, and lava. If you want to protect territories in Minecraft quickly, whether it’s a single-player or a multiplayer mod, just install this mod and select one of the available block options.

Important to know! When you set the marker (the flag of the necessary color), you see it and the green area. But after a while after you set it, this block disappears, so remember where your boundaries are. One of the options is additional marking using colored blocks or bright objects to understand where other players will be able to act on your territory and where not.

The Protect It mod is updated and supplemented from time to time, and the developer keeps releasing new versions to meet the fan community’s demands. Currently, Minecraft version 1.19.2 is available for download, where all the described functions are available. You don’t need any special skills to work with this mod, and if you have a problem or questions about the functions, you can always leave a comment under this review and be sure we’ll help you.
