Ecological issues are the key problem of today’s world. Various factories, plants, and processing facilities pollute the atmosphere of the planet, bringing the air indicators to critical levels. How soon will the world find itself on the verge of an ecological catastrophe, and the air will turn into a resource that will require hard work to get? That’s exactly what this mod suggests thinking about. It’s not much about survival – although it also appears to be the case – but about environmental protection.

This mod brings such a thing as environmental pollution into Minecraft. From now on, you won’t be able to use stoves venting into the room, build huge melting mechanisms, and other technical facilities – you’ll have to literally pay with your health for all of these.

Clouds of particles of carbon, sulfur, and other harmful emissions will hang over the polluted area, causing various negative effects for everyone who happens to be nearby. Fortunately (or unfortunately), the wind is on your side, so, the poisonous cloud can be carried away from your house if you’re lucky, but you’d better stay on the safe side. Otherwise, you’ll be able to see how pollution affects the surrounding world and the character with your own eyes, as well as to test a hypothesis «which negative effects will kill the hapless environmentalist faster».

Any fire except lava produces carbon and sulfur. Lava is considered a natural source of fire and doesn’t produce harmful emissions, but other things that it sets on fire, be it grass, ground, or trees, causes a local environmental disaster. It’s also not recommended to place stoves and build fires in closed caves or rooms. Gas accumulates inside the closed space and at one point explodes everything around, because it’s too close to the fire. Sometimes, natural gas naturally appears in caves, so be careful when exploring the dungeons with a torch.

To avoid explosions and negative effects, you can start with crafting an Air Pollution Meter, which measures the harmful substance amount in the environment. It will light green in a safe zone, and in one that urgently needs cleaning – it will be yellow and red, respectively. If you are interested, you can see more accurate indicators by hovering the mouse over the device in the character’s menu.

You can also craft a special protection suit with a face mask and a breastplate filter.

The mod suggests cleaning nature with a Vacuum Tube that resembles a vacuum cleaner, which literally sucks in harmful blocks.

The mod is friendly to many technological mods and assemblies. You can use air-filtering systems or pollute it even more efficiently using various mechanisms, factories, and electricity generating stations.
