It is an extremely exciting activity where you have to fight with a large number of mobs, and if you are not quick enough, all the villagers may simply vanish, the empty village will remain, and you will have to try to revive the NPCs again. However, not everyone likes the standard game mechanics, and if you often repel raids, that gets boring over time. The designer of a mod called Pillager Training improves the gameplay and allows you to trade with the pillagers. So you will now be able to take advantage of a new way of trading, different types of goods, and an interesting pastime.

But everything is not that simple, as after installing the Pillager Trading mod, you will also need to find the Illager Manuscript, which will allow you to turn the standard pillagers into merchants. Besides, if you hold this item, you will be able to trade. In short, the mechanics are interesting and provide wide opportunities. Review of the Pillager Trading Mod

It will now be unnecessary to kill the pillagers, as they will provide you with the opportunity to get extra loot. However, you will first need to find the Illager Manuscript. It is located in a woodland mansion in one of the chests, being an extremely important artifact in the Pillager Trading fashion, allowing you to trade with these mobs. After you use it, namely, as soon as you select a trade, it will transform into the Illager Order. It should be noted from the outset, though, that the prices of such mobs are not cheap, and that may constitute a problem for the player. However, some items are really worth it, and a whole server will hunt for them.

Once you take the manuscript into your hands, you can boldly approach any pillager, and it will attack you. None of these mobs will touch you, so you can click on a pillager to start trading. In the list, you will see the items it can sell you. It primarily buys emeralds, emerald blocks, and diamonds, so you should prepare more valuable materials to interact with these creatures. Once the transaction is completed, and you click on the corresponding position in the list, your manuscript will become enchanted with a vanilla effect, and you will subsequently be able to view its contents by clicking the RMB on it.

The prices are indeed high, and you will not be able to appease the pillagers like you can appease the villagers. By the way, the available transactions can be edited in the config file. If you hover the cursor over the manuscript, you will see exactly what was exchanged. It is also worth mentioning that the pillagers will refuse to trade with you if you have the Bad Omen or Hero of the Мillage effect. That should be taken into account before you go to the woodland mansions or other locations inhabited by them, as you may be ambushed, and no manuscript will save you.

The pillagers sell the warding statues, but you will need to use lapis lazuli to activate them. You will be able to click on any such statue to temporarily disable patrols and wandering merchants. Alternatively, this item will perfectly complement any interior, whether it is a modern or medieval style. It will also be possible to buy the new blocks, which slightly resemble the stonebricks but have emerald and lapis lazuli inclusions. They look unusual but very attractive. It may even seem that they depict some muzzle, and such an element will look cool in any building. However, in this regard, each builder decides which blocks to use in their buildings for themselves.

This is all the functionality that will be available to you after installing the Pillager Trading mod, so if you would like to diversify the gameplay and interact with the pillagers in Minecraft, we recommend installing this add-on and trying it. It cannot boast much new content but allows you to look at the game world in a new way and to involve the already familiar mobs in a friendly role. The modder has made it only for Forge, so it will hardly be available for Fabric. At the moment, the mod supports Minecraft 1.19.2 and is updated periodically.

If you have just installed this mod, you will need to re-generate the game world, as the loot in the chests containing the above manuscript should be refreshed. And you will not be able to interact with the pillagers without it. We recommend that you carefully check all the chests in the woodland mansions, as you can often obtain several manuscripts at once. By installing the Pillager Trading mod on a server, you can increase interest in different biomes and introduce a new item on the market, for which people will readily give serious amounts in diamonds or other valuable currency.
