Physics Mod – New physics in Minecraft

Physics in the Minecraft aren’t well studied, and this isn’t a primary task for such a project, because the graphics here also seem a little «poor» at first sight. But over the past ten years, the Minecraft fan community has created many different add-ons to transform many aspects of the game and get it to a completely different level, both in terms of graphics, textures, various items, biomes, combat system, and physics. In general, few mods have been developed to change physics, and one of the global ones is Physics Mod. It will significantly transform many game aspects, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by these changes.

The main task of the Physics Mod is to add more of the game physics-related visual effects, for example, destroying blocks and objects, killing mobs, gravity, physics of thrown items, environment, and sounds. This is just a short list of what will change in Minecraft, and the vanilla world will never be the same. The Physics Mod takes the game to a new level, and if your PC’s performance allows you to install such add-ons, be sure to try them. The Physics Mod review

This is an incredible mod, in general, one of the best among all the add-ons for Minecraft, since the developer attracted a huge team to make such a mod and take all the physical aspects into account. It adds a lot of realistic options and turns the standard cubic world into a full-fledged AAA project, where neighboring blocks will be affected by a destroyed block, a new kind of snow biomes appears, grass is crushed, there will be ocean waves, and so on. And most importantly, these aren’t shaders that require powerful PCs.

Here, the physics of many blocks will completely change, both standard ones and from other add-ons, including items, liquids, herbs, and plants. You’ll see how each element breaks into small pieces, and they lie on the ground for a few seconds. The destruction of certain blocks may affect the «neighbours», but the player can always disable or edit this option if they want. The physics of sounds and mobs is changed in many ways, and this is just a small list of features of the Physics Mod add-on. As for the most interesting of them, then we should highlight the following:

The mob physics. After each creature dies, a small «corpse» model appears. It’s accompanied by animation, as if he first falls and then lies for a few seconds, although the player can also add a «breakdown into particles», blood, and so on in the settings. In the vanilla version, the mob immediately disappears, leaving loot behind.

The block physics. Whenever you destroy the blocks, they leave particles that break into small pieces. Moreover, the block acquires gravity, and these particles can roll, gravitating to the earth. Sometimes, they can even affect neighboring blocks, although this function can be disabled at any time in the settings. But it looks just great. After a few seconds, everything disappears. If you dig near the house, remember about physics, otherwise you can make the whole building collapse.

Changes in drop. If there is a certain drop on the ground, for example, blocks or valuable materials, ores, and items, then they have more voluminous textures that stand out against the vanilla version of the game.

Dynamic blocks. The Physics Mod developer didn’t forget about the rest of the blocks in Minecraft, for example, vines, ropes, doors, and so on. Just look at how the grass, foliage, and other types of vegetation disintegrate.

Weather physics. From time to time, the weather changes in the game, no matter what biome you are in. Here, the wind will appear, so it will affect the droplets, the intensity of the spread. The strength largely depends on the area you are in, but the surrounding nature and all the phenomena will significantly change.

Sound physics. Another important option in this mod is a huge number of sound changes. They will now be more realistic, for example, if you are in caves, different biomes, dungeons. We can’t show it in the screenshots, so you’d better download the Physics Mod and test everything yourself.

Changes in water and oceans. It’s one of the most important innovations in the game, because you get waves in aquatic biomes. At the same time, boats may sway, storms and calm waters may happen. It looks incredibly cool, and not every shader can boast of such effects.

This is far from a complete list of changes, but it’s enough to evaluate all the possibilities of the Physics Mod and decide whether to install it or not. It slightly affects your PC performance, so this add-on is definitely not suitable for weak devices. If you have an average PC, you can easily install the mod and give all its features a try. Each user will be able to adjust any parameters and choose the optimal configuration. For example, some only like the effect of killing mobs, others like the destruction of blocks. You can keep everything as it is by default or «go through each point of the settings».
