Luggage: A Chest That Always Follows You

Dozens, if not hundreds, of different mods have been created for Minecraft, allowing you to expand the GUI in a couple of clicks and adding chests, which are new both visually and functionally. However, many of them are too simple and standard. Modders are constantly coming up with something new, and if you are reading this review, it is time to learn about a mod called Luggage that implements wholly new functionality in the Minecraft game world.

The main idea behind the mod is the automatic collection of resources in the form of an animated box following the player and storing all the loot. The player can access this chest, interact with it, and put or take resources at any time. Such an entity will be extremely convenient in mines where blocks drop a large amount of resources, and the standard player's inventory is simply not enough.

Review of the Luggage Mod

The mod adds two types of new chests, and they look really cool: they are just standard vanilla chests but with legs. They are hard to imagine, so it is better to take a look at the screenshots that clearly suggest what you will have to interact with after installing the Luggage mod. Both the regular version and the ender chest are available. They have the same number of storage slots and quite similar functionality, but both are substantially different from the vanilla versions.

Thus, if you use the ender chest from the Luggage mod, it will save all the resources at once, and you will be able to access its content from anywhere in the game world by simply using its interface. Isn't that convenient? These entities follow you in any biome and dimension, including mines, the Nether, and the End. This is a truly elaborate and innovative system for Minecraft, which most players have not seen before. If it is implemented on some server or even used for solo survival, it will reduce the time spent searching for additional space in the inventory.

The new chest types are crafted quite easily. You will need an ordinary chest, a diamond, and several sticks to create the usual chest. The ender chest requires seven obsidian blocks and the eye of ender. You will be able to craft an unlimited number of such entities, and all of them will follow you. However, we have a hint for you in this regard: if you are going to craft a large number of these chests, do it right from obsidian. In this case, you will not have to look into each chest and relocate resources and be able to access them through the same GUI.

By default, all your belongings will be preserved after your death if the chests are lost somewhere. They cannot be destroyed and will follow you everywhere, no matter what biome you are in. If they disappear from your sight or are not visible on the screen, although they were nearby a moment ago, you can simply press the K key to make your character whistle. It is the default hotkey, but if you wish, you can change it. We recommend that you immediately check whether this option works since, in many mod builds, various keys may conflict due to the huge number of different functions bound to them.

The Luggage mod can boast 3.5 million downloads and is constantly being improved. The designers are releasing new versions for the latest and popular Minecraft builds. For now, it is already possible to download Luggage for Minecraft 1.20.1, both for Forge land Fabric, which adds even more interest to this mod. Thanks to the JEI add-on, you can quickly get these chests and see how they look in the game. Not only is the storage capacity noteworthy here but also the animation implemented by the modders. It looks cool and unusual, as such features are rarely peculiar even to large-scale and global Minecraft mods.

You will now be able to quickly collect loot in Minecraft without having to worry that some resources will be lost or overlooked when it comes to trips to the mines, griefing on a server, and transferring your belongings to other locations. You will be able to quickly relocate large amounts of resources simply by breaking chests in your house and relying on the entities added by the Luggage mod. They will automatically collect all the resources, and you will be able to safely go to your destination. Just do not forget to take more health potions, armor, and a sword to fight off mobs and not die midway.
