What are you ready for in Minecraft? You can complete the standard survival in the vanilla version, build dozens of automatic farms, dig a huge pit, blow up hundreds or thousands of TNT. This list goes on and on, and there are plenty of examples in the cubic world when players went crazy. But for this game, you can also use specialized mods that enable you to do unthinkable things. One of these add-ons is Kaupenjoe's All-Consuming Grey Goo, which players can use to consume the entire game world…
The Kaupenjoe's All-Consuming Grey Goo mod complements Minecraft with a few blocks that are available for creative mode only. These are goo blocks that can consume the world and slow down the gameplay. If you still decide to install this mod, then are fully responsible for the possible destruction of the cubic world. Remember that this is entertainment content only, and all you’ll get from it are emotions, but no benefit or development boost.
This add-on has a little background, and it’s great when developers add at least some explanation of where the ideas came from and what’s the basic principle of the mod. Here, gray slime hit the ground together with a meteor shower. It can consume any materials, both organic and inorganic, but it doesn’t touch metal alloys and similar resources. The gray slime got out, and now the game world is at the edge of total chaos, because the game world can completely disappear, and all your buildings, mobs, dimensions, different types of biomes, and much more will be simply removed…
The game adds several unique goo blocks, and each them has its specific traits and distinctive features.
· Grey Goo – gray goo consumes every block but for iron and air. At the same time, iron ore turns into nuggets in the game, so in fact the blocks also disappear.
· Dark Grey Goo– this version of goo can consume air, and the entire space will eventually be covered with «barrier blocks». If you don’t know – these are also a certain type of items, which are often used by administrators as restrictions in buildings or on the server. As a result, you’ll be left with a half-empty shell.
· Purple Goo – consumes only the top layer of air above other blocks in the game. But the system works in such a way that the process spreads over the ground, so the rest of the blocks are safe from destruction
· Pink Goo – consumes all other types of goo added in the Kaupenjoe's All-Consuming Grey Goo mod. After that, it self-destructs. This is a kind of cleaning up of «parasites» in the game world. Faster than the rest of goo in Minecraft, however, it doesn’t always work correctly, and the developer knows about it.
By default, this mod has little chance of action and spread of goo in the game world, however, there is a certain list of commands, which you can use to alter these indicators:
· /gamerule gooSpread true – Enable the spread of goo in the game world;
· /gamerule gooSpread false – Disable all spread effects;
· /gamerule gooSpreadChance 50 – The chances of the spread of goo in the game. Higher values give a lower result;
· /gamerule gooSpreadChance 5 – Speed. This is the maximum value for this parameter.
You can control these extraterrestrial blocks at any time, but we strongly recommend that you make a copy of the game world, since all buildings, biomes, achievements, and so on can be destroyed in no time, especially if the player doesn’t quite understand how the system works. On weak computers, you may face lags and lower performance, because many different blocks appear, which severely affect users’ PCs.
Your game world will not be the same if you use new types of blocks in this mod. This is a realistic geometric progression simulator showing the number of blocks dramatically increasing in a certain area. For example, by activating dark gray goo, you’ll get the air consumed, and in fact, a constantly growing lump will appear. This significantly loads the computer, and even top-end PC constructions can’t withstand such generation. The same goes for goo of other colors: gray changes the standard Minecraft blocks, consuming them and making a huge hole in the game world.
It's important to understand what each block in Minecraft is for. Mostly, all these materials have been added just for tests, and currently you can delete everything that you’ve built. Use commands from this article to reduce or increase the spread speed. This is very useful, for example, when you have a weak PC and it can’t withstand the rapidly spreading blocks, but you still want to see the result. The Kaupenjoe's All-Consuming Grey Goo mod should only be used as entertainment, and it makes no sense to add it to large assemblies.
