Geode: Diversify the Underground World With Terrible Zombies

In the underground world of Minecraft, you can encounter the same mobs as in the Overworld, so there is no diversity at all. The cave spider is the sole creature found only underground. Would you like to slightly diversify the caves with new useful mobs? Then we suggest you install an add-on called Geode, which will help you in this task. It is a small mod that will add various types of geode zombies to the underground world. Let us dwell upon their basic characteristics and features.

Geode Zombies

These are mobs that look like the ordinary zombies but have some new details. The fact is that the body of these creatures now partly consists of crystals of precious stones, such as diamonds. That is, these crystals grow directly on a zombie. These mobs are not so frequently found but always drop some precious item. There are nine types of geode zombies in total. Their characteristics are identical, and they differ only in terms of appearance and loot.

Features and Characteristics of the Geode Zombies

These geode zombies are stronger than the ordinary ones, as they have 26 health points and an increased damage level. Such a zombie is capable of inflicting four damage points in one blow. Accordingly, if you are without armor, it will easily kill you in five blows. So be careful when encountering this creature. It goes without saying that the geode zombies are aggressive mobs. However, if such a zombie somehow gets into the Overworld, it will not pose a danger to the inhabitants because it will not attack them. Besides, this zombie type does not burn in the sun at all. You will find seven types of zombies in the ordinary underground world and two other types in the Nether.

Loot Dropped by the Geode Zombies

If you manage to kill such a zombie, it will necessarily drop something. The loot depends only on the type, or rather on the crystals that grow on a zombie. There are seven types thereof: coal, iron, gold, emerald, diamond, lapis lazuli, and redstone. Each type has the texture of the respective crystal. That is, if you meet a geode zombie with blue crystals, after killing it, you will get a diamond — and perhaps more than one. This depends on your luck — you can get either one or several at once. Gold and iron geode zombies will give you the corresponding ore, whereas other types drop precious material, which you can subsequently use as you see fit.

Geode Zombies in the Nether

There are two types of geode zombies found exclusively in the Nether: quartz and glowstone. They are no different from the geode zombies of the Overworld and have the same characteristics. Their texture is more appropriate to the Nether, though. This is especially noticeable in the case of the glowstone zombie, which body is red. They also have 26 health and four damage points. You can get the respective loot from them, namely nether quartz and glowstone dust.
