Feathers: A Stamina System for Minecraft

In Minecraft, the main character has the hunger and health bars, which must be constantly monitored to keep it in good shape. If you do not replenish saturation points by using different types of food, the character simply begins to lose health and eventually dies of starvation. As you can see, there is a direct relationship between health and hunger. That is why you have to take food with you during your journeys, say, bread, carrots, golden apples, and many other foodstuffs, especially if you are playing with different mods.

But there is another unique feature, which is added by a mod called Feathers. It implements a stamina system in the game, which determines how much weight the player can carry, which armor is better to wear, given its size and material, which potions to use, and many other points. Review of the Feathers Mod

After you install this mod, the main character will acquire another bar above the hunger bar, which will display the current stamina level. As the designer of the Feathers mod claims, the number of these feathers indicates how much stamina is currently available to the player. Thus, by default, you will have ten blue icons, but if you put on one armor piece, some of the feathers will become transparent, which indicates a decrease in available stamina. Accordingly, the more items the player equips, the fewer this level becomes.

If you put on all armor pieces, at least when it comes to the netherite ones, the feather bar becomes completely transparent. According to the modder, each of the in-game armor elements has its own weight, be it a vanilla option or an item from some add-on installed by you. The weight directly affects the number of stamina points at the player's disposal. As a result, you face a choice: if you use heavy armor, your stamina will be low, and you will become less mobile. Alternatively, if you wear worse armor, you are more mobile and enduring.

New Potion Effects

So you will now have to decide in which cases to use a full armor set in Minecraft and in which you can sacrifice some elements for the sake of speed, maneuverability, and other significant advantages. But that is not all. The designer of the Feathers mod has added several new potion effects, each of which somehow affects you. So if you install this add-on, be sure to learn their characteristics.

· Endurance. The description of each of the in-game potions will now contain how much stamina it restores, whether it is the ordinary vanilla world or a separate dimension added by mods.

· Energized. The feathers will recover faster if you use certain potions, and the game will contain information about which options are more suitable for that purpose.

· Cold. It is a special effect that affects the recovery of your character's stamina. The latter will not regenerate if the player is currently in a low-temperature area, say, a biome with snow or ice.

As you can see, the Minecraft game mechanics have changed for the better, and it has become more difficult to survive, but only slightly. You will still be able to move around the game world, perform routine tasks, kill bosses, and fight mobs, but you will need to additionally monitor your stamina to stay cheerful, mobile, and fast. Such a useful mechanic has always been lacking in the cubic world, as most games feature this parameter for their characters, and many players are used to it.

Note! In the mod's settings, you can adjust the endurance parameters, say, by setting other values. If this add-on is used on a server, the admin will be able to choose the values set by default.
