What can you do in Minecraft? Build houses, cities, pixel art, farm, participate in mass battles against players or mobs, enjoy exploring different locations, biomes, mine resources, build logical circuits and create full-fledged factories, raise livestock and pets. We can go on the list, but you’ll never find «photographer», in this list by default, although you can become a professional photographer even in Minecraft, and there are all the necessary components available…
In this review, we’ll tell you about the Exposure add-on, which adds a few useful devices to the cubic world, which make it possible to take high-quality pictures, selfies, apply different types of filters, develop film, collect all the pictures taken in a separate album and perform many others equally important tasks. As a result, you can become a professional photographer in a matter of minutes, mastering this profession online. Even if you lack any relevant experience, Minecraft will help you do everything in a couple of clicks. Well, then everything’s up to you, because the opportunities are boundless here…
In Minecraft, you’ll get a unique opportunity to become a real professional photographer, using the relevant equipment. Indeed, considering the number of picturesque places in the cubic world, you simply have no limits in developing this direction. You’ll need only a camera to perform all the actions. This is a separate device that the developer has made realistic: you can see all the faces, the lens, and different buttons here, and when the character picks up this item, it doesn’t turn into a kind of square block: you still look at the three-dimensional object in the form of a camera. It’s really cool that the developers have elaborated these details and created real 3D models.
To start using the camera, you need to pick up the device, craft a film (we’ll talk about this further), and hold Shift + RMB to open a separate menu. It is here that you’ll load put the film into the camera so that you can take pictures in the future. This system implies using one of the different types of film crafted by the players. For example, it can be black and white or multicolor. The choice is yours, depending on which pictures you need in Minecraft.
Besides, in the same interface you can add a few modules to your camera to make it even more functional. For example, you can add a telescope to boost the camera zoom and a lightstone to create flash. This modular system opens additional opportunities for the player, with the camera’s outline visually changing in the GUI interface, which looks really cool. If you have the relevant components we recommend giving it a try, because the camera’s capabilities will be crucially expanded.
As soon as you’ve loaded a film, you’ll see a corresponding notification at the bottom of the screen, containing the information about the number of pictures available and taken. For example, there are 16 pictures in the black and white one, and by developing all the pictures, you can create a full-fledged album in the game. If everything is ready, you can pull out the film and develop it. Yes, this is a full-fledged process, which is even more important for a photographer, as it requires certain working and interacting skills. Here, you’ll have to be patient as well. As you may remember, there are several film options in the Exposure mod, both black and white and multicolor. The colors in the photos will depend on the selected option. It’s obvious that the multicolor ones are more saturated and bright, and black and white options are more contrasting.
To develop a film in the Exposure mod, you’ll need to use a separate workbench, a standard item from vanilla Minecraft. But first we need to pull it out:
· What do we need to do? Just as before, hold Shift and click the RMB at the same time to launch a separate menu;
· Inside, you’ll see the film. Move it to the inventory, since you’ll need to work with this item;
Next, you simply put the object you get from the camera there, a bottle of water next to it, and as a result, you get a developed film that you can use to create further pictures in the game. That’s the entire process, and you can proceed to the next step!
Next, you need another item, a Lightroom. You’ll use it for all the interactions in the game, so, alas, there is no way to do without this device!
· Then, click on the Lightroom to open this workbench for working with cameras;
· Here, you’ll see several different tabs. Put your film in the left part, as you need it for development. You need to put all the dyes in the same order as they are in the tab into the lower part of the panel;
· All you need now is to click on the check mark, but be sure to choose which pictures you need to develop before that;
· Confirm the action and get a nice picture in the form of a map as a result. The character holds it in his hand as if it were a treasure map. All you need to do now is to put the resulting picture in a frame and enjoy the process.
Keep in mind that each film has a certain number of pictures that you can take. At the same time, you should also remember that you can develop the images from an incomplete film, for example, with only half of the space or even less used. However, your film will become invalid after that, and you won’t be able to put it into the camera again.
In fact, this is the entire process to be performed in the Exposure modification. As you can see, everything is easy and clear, all the stages are as consistent as in real life: we craft a film, put it into the camera, take pictures, develop the film, and create real photos from the result. You can take both black and white and multicolor ones. In the Exposure mod, the player can also take selfie pictures by changing the character display mode with F5 key. This kind of gameplay opens even more possibilities, but this is another story…
