End’s Delight – Cook the End world creatures!

Minecraft developers have been updating and maintaining the game for many years. New blocks, biomes and so on are being introduced, including food. However, this happens in the Overworld only. No more food has been added to the End, since the Choruses were introduced there. Considering that Chorus is completely useless as a food, we may ask why it was impossible to add the ability to cook it. No, of course there’s one, but we get a building material as a result. In such a seemingly hopeless situation, mods come to the rescue. One of the great options is the End’s Delight mod.

In fact, it’s an add-n to the Farmer’s Delight mod, which expands the cooking opportunities in the world of Minecraft. The add-on will allow you to extract meat from Shulkers, Endermites, and even a Dragon! Dragon meat and its egg are especially interesting. Most of the dishes will have positive effects, which is very pleasant as well.

The End’s Delight mod review

We should start with auxiliary things. For example, an End Cooker has been added, where you can fry six pieces of any meat for free. Someone may say that it’s unfair, and you must spend fuel to balance the game, but there is a nuance. This unit can’t be automated, that is, you can’t crank out the production, and it’s rather boring to turn each piece over by hand is rather boring. Moreover, with a large volume it’s incredibly difficult to fry a stack of items here. Therefore, there’s nothing cheating here, the initial source of fried food, and nothing more.

There’s also a way to store Choruses as a block. You just need to put them in boxes. A very nice idea for the kitchen interior design.

Knives

This tool is useful anywhere where food is cooked. There are four options, and the only difference is durability. The best one, which is made from a dragon’s tooth, will last the longest. But it’s also the hardest to get.

Dragon food

The simplest thing you can find in this mod is a dragon egg that you can break and fry. It’s better not to taste the raw version, since the blindness effect will reduce the positive effect for as many as seventeen seconds. You should cook it over fire, because thus you’ll get a more satisfying meal without negative effects. Among the positive ones, you’ll get:

· Regeneration

· Strength

· Resistance

Each buff lasts for five minutes, and has a second power level.

If you want something better, then you can cook an egg in a pot. It looks amazing and has a lot of effects. One serving contain as many as four plates of dishes.

Next comes the meat. You can simply fry it to get a cooked version, but we don’t recommend doing this, because there is a more beneficial way. Or rather, craft full-fledged dishes that you can put in a bowl and eat several times.
Even the regeneration effect won’t add any value to the simple method.

Just look at this texture of the dragon’s leg. It beckons to eat it; however, the body part has been reduced by times for compactness. Imagine the dragon and compare the proportions. However, this doesn’t reduce the effectiveness of this method at all! After the dish is placed in the world, you can collect it in bowls. After it’s fully divided, you’ll get seven full-fledged dishes that give more effects than common fried meat. That’s why it’s recommended to cook it this way!

But full-fledged meat is used to cook only two small dishes, namely dragon steak and barbecue. These things include both a big option and a piece. It’s also a good ides to eat and get very nice buffs.

And there is an option to put the meat in a pot and cook a full-fledged soup. That sounds good, especially since one such pot can be divided into four bowls. Such optimized spending is a good idea, and you’ll get a lot of wonderful effects as a bonus that will help in battle, for example.

Shulkers

They also have several options to be cooked. And you shouldn’t just fry them and eat either but make a full-fledged dish that you can put in bowls. Moreover, ordinary meat doesn’t give any positive effects, but for levitation.

From this nice tray, you’ll get as many as four plates with very nutritious contents. You should consider this method, because it provides regeneration and good saturation! And the sliced pieces can make up a barbecue, which we’ve already discussed.

Endermite

It has only one purpose – to be an ingredient for crafting barbecue on a stick. You can find its recipe above, in the dragon meat section. There aren’t any other options to use this resource.

Chorus food

Now this plant isn’t a useless purple piece, but a full-fledged culinary ingredient. You can use it to craft a large number of dishes.

The first are rice pies and cakes. They are very easy to craft, but they have a regeneration effect. An extremely useful thing, since there are always a lot of Choruses, and you always need to restore your health. A cheap golden apple as a result.

Next are cookies and pie. If everything is clear with the first ones – a waste of time, then the second option is very good. It has a beautiful texture and unusual eating mechanics. Instead of seven parts, it has only four, but each offers the speed effect for thirty seconds, which is quite a long time.

There’s also ice cream, but the use of ice in crafting makes food useless. No one is going to waste time, especially if there are options that are much more convenient and efficient.

Other trifles

In the end, let’s look at things like salads and drinks. There’s not much to say here, just an alternative meal if you don’t want to kill another dragon. So to speak, a vegetarian option, but it is much more difficult to create, because you will have to run to hell. But still, there is no such long-lasting and strong effect as from regular food.

Drinks do not give anything at all, except for one thing, namely soda from dragon’s breath. It is quite simple to create and has good effects.

Drawing a conclusion from the entire review, I would like to say that the work turned out to be very original. Indeed, Minecraft lacks a variety of dishes, and, in particular, meat from mobs. The End’s Delight mod completely solves this problem, now even it makes sense to kill Shulkers, except to get a shell. Excellent 3d textures will allow you to decorate your kitchen, and new blocks will diversify the interior. Created for the Minecraft version 1.20.1.
