Cropped – Better Crops in Minecraft

Almost any Minecraft player is a farmer deep in their heart, even if they don’t actually cultivate any crops, although it’s hard to survive in the cubic world without any vegetables, especially in the first days after you started playing. Despite all its simplicity, vanilla mechanics are far from perfect, although the game developers have long been trying to elaborate it and make it perfect. For example, as soon as you appear on the map, you can find a village with peasants and see how these NPCs plant different types of vegetables.

But there is another option – to download the Cropped mod and get a few important upgrades for farmers that will not only help you harvest your crops faster but will also bring the cultivation conditions closer to real ones, which many Minecraft players strive to achieve. At present, the mod introduces very few changes, but even they are important for farmers and will be useful.

The Cropped mod review

Primarily, the Cropped mod refers to server products, so the owners of Minecraft servers must install this mod to slightly expand the game functions and help farmers in their hard work. The mod includes a lot of settings; however, the default ones are more than enough for a comfortable game.

The main task of the Cropped mod is to improve conditions of cultivating different types of crops and vegetables in the game, since some of the standard mechanics of vanilla Minecraft aren’t elaborated enough. Currently, the mod implements the following options:

· If it rains outside, it will accelerate the cultivation process. From now on, you don’t have to use bone flour. Unlike before, when you looked forward to the end of another weather cataclysm, now you’ll meet the rain with happy eyes;

· In the vanilla version, the vegetable bed was crushed by the player accidentally or deliberately stepping on it. This significantly slowed down the planting process, since you had to make separate paths, which made these mechanics very annoying. After installing the Cropped mod, your jumping onto planted beds won’t crush them;

· You’ll be able to quickly harvest your crops with the right mouse button;

· Distributors will be able to plant crops, which is one of the most useful features of the game, because the project has long required automation, since Minecraft has a lot of different logical devices.

These are all the innovations and changes. Thus, the functionality is limited so far, to put it mildly. But we can pay tribute to the author even for this list of options, since he’s implemented very important functions. It would be great if some new hoeing and irrigation methods, as well as watering system and many more appeared in the future, since there are really a lot of farmers in Minecraft who like to grow different types of plants and crops. However, for this you can use other third-party mods with a wide range of different options, but that’s an entirely another story, isn’t it?
