Ferrets typically inhabit various types of forests, such as the dark forest, oak one and savannah. They run very fast and are not afraid of gamers. You can tame this animal if you use raw rabbit. This is the only mob you can tame in Critters and Companion mod. When feeding, you will see black particles, and once your pet is satisfied, the hearts will appear that are inherent to all mobs. But to tame this animal, you will need to feed it with raw meat and nothing else.

The main feature of ferrets in Minecraft – is an ability to hunt rabbits. With the help of such a pet, you will be able to hunt rabbits and get rabbit legs or skins in large quantities. They won’t be able to escape the ferrets because this animal moves fast enough. The ferret will teleport after you to any location, but it will stay at home if you press the right mouse button and put the ferret in a cage. It does not take part against other mobs in battles. Game experience drops with ferrets, but you will have difficulty catching them.

Otter

Next, we’d like to describe such animal as an otter. This is another cool type of animal in the game, and this modification adds them to Minecraft. They look pretty realistic and realistic. They have an extraordinary appearance. Their color is purple with white shades. They have a snout with white antennas. You will be able to hear the otter from a certain distance as they make distinctive sounds that you will not mistake with other ones.

As a rule, their spawning occurs in the water, but sometimes, you can meet them on the shore near the water body. They have a neutral position to gamer, however you can lure them to fish. The otter has one unique feature — periodically, it lies on its back and just floats in the water. It looks very nice and beautiful. In that case, if you want to pull the animal closer while it’s resting, you can just take the rod for it, throw it into the water at the place where the otter is lying, and start pulling this animal. This is the only option you can use for this.

If you feed the otter off your hands, you can even reproduce these animals. Then, some tiny babies will appear, who also really want to eat fish. Moreover, you can use any type of products as food, but if you decide to feed the otter with puffer-fish, you will reduce your health. That is why we advise you to avoid this option. You get only a small amount of gaming experience after that and you have no reason to kill this animal.

Red panda

Have you ever seen such an amazing animal as a red panda? They are similar to foxes and do not match ordinary pandas from Minecraft. They make a distinctive sound that is a bit like otter screams. They sleep most of the time and are neutral to gamers. At night, they go hunting and run on different biomes, although they have almost no functionality at the moment on this mod.

They will surely delight you with its interesting animation. You will surely be fascinated to watch the sleeping red panda. You can come close to this animal and then it will continue its sleep too. If you try to remove it, it will start to run away quickly, and then it will freeze for a while. You can reproduce these animals with bamboo, as with normal pandas.

Dragonflies

These are some of the most amazing mobs that Critters and Companion mod adds in the game — – it is dragonflies. They have a pleasant appearance and unique animation. So, the dragonfly flaps its wings constantly as it moves from one place to another. Moreover, it flies very fast, so it will be extremely difficult for you to catch or kill.

Sea hare

You won’t be able to transform them into anything, but you can take a bucket to transfer the sea hares from one pond to another, for example to your home if you already craft something like an aquarium. Phylliidae

Phylliidae is – an insect that Critters and Companion mod adds to this game. It looks unusual, although it does not bring any use and does not manifest activity. It makes a very interesting and unusual sound. Even if you fail to see this insect, then you will definitely hear its sounds as it beautifully chirps.

It will appear in the forest and will merge with the foliage, although it is not always possible, as in Minecraft, there are many biomes, and they do not match color with all objects. They are neutral to gamers and do not run from them if they get closer. They can spawn in three different versions, such as green, yellow and orange. Gamers have few options for action at the moment — – it is collect all three options of them to get a complete collection.

Dumbo octopus

An interesting name for this creature is Dumbo octopus. This mob is interesting and unusual in its essence. We are sure that you have not seen such animals before despite the large selection of creatures in various modifications and add-ons for Minecraft. You can only find an octopus in the ocean, and it is very small, so you will have to spend a lot of time to get to this mob.

In real life, such animals exist too. Moreover, it is a prototype for this creature in the game. It has a high level of detail and beautiful animation. There are octopus in four different colors. If you want to take an octopus with you, we suggest you use a bucket for this. In the inventory, you will see different icons, depending on the color of this animal. For example, if the octopus is red and you put it in a bucket, the bucket with a red mob will be displayed in the inventory. The same applies to all other colors.

By the way, you can summon this animal with the help of a spawn egg bucket (yes, this mod has a separate bucket with a mob, too). It will give you items with different colors, but in administrator mode, there is only a yellow icon.

Koi «fish»

This Japanese ornamental fish has also entered the worlds of Minecraft. Now anyone can catch koi fish in one of the local ponds, using a bucket for this. Usually they spawn in rivers, small flocks. They can differ in different types of colors between each other, and it is unique most often. They swim in small flocks, too, and they’re not far apart. If you decide to catch this fish, it is possible that you will be able to get several individuals at once in case you take the right amount of bucket.

This fish has the same icon in the bucket in the inventory, even if they are different colors. Here, you can see their distinct differences with the octopus. But it is possible that these details will be corrected in future updates of the mod. Koi fish is an animal that gamer can use for food to restore hunger or feed the otter with this fish. Also, you can use this fish to domesticate ocelots in some cases. Koi fish drops are such a useful ingredient as bone meal, but it is the most irrational way to obtain this type of item.

Oysters

Oysters – is the last mob in this modification. We describe it after all the other ones for a reason. In Minecraft, you will be able to catch oysters in the process of fishing with a high probability. No matter what pond gamer fish in. Also, you can get oysters from guards too if you visit the oceans. But this way is much harder.
