Colorize: Instant Dying of Items in Minecraft

Minecraft features numerous different blocks, but you often want to craft an object of a particular color and do not have all the necessary ingredients with you or have an already crafted item of some other color. What to do in that case? Unfortunately, by default, the game does not allow you to change the color after some item has already been created, and you have to craft a new one. However, you can install a mod called Colorize, which adds new functionality. You will be able to change the item color by clicking the RMB, and there are certain items on which this add-on is focused.

The Colorize mod will allow you to save resources, use old items, and also utilize certain blocks that could not be changed earlier. Suppose you found a large amount of the yellow terracotta. You cannot change its appearance even when you have a lot of dyes for this. However, it will be enough to install this mod and slightly change the mechanics of the cubic world. The game world itself will remain the same, and you will not spoil the balance in any way.

Review of the Colorize Mod

The main task of the Colorize mod is to implement a simple and convenient way to change the color of some blocks and items in Minecraft. You will now not have to craft the item anew if you dyed it in a different color before. It will be enough to approach it and click the RMB holding the desired dye in your hands. At the moment, the mod supports the fast color change of the following items and blocks:

· Beds;

· Candles;

· Carpets;

· Concrete;

· Shulker boxes;

· Glazed terracotta;

· Usual terracotta;

· Wool;

· Glass blocks.

To change the item, you will need to have the necessary dye in your hands, approach it, and click the RMB. Please note that it will be possible to change the color only if the item is already placed, so you will not be able to do that via the crafting table by putting the item and the dye in advance.

So this method is more suitable in cases when the blocks are already installed and the user does not want to remove them. If you craft blocks from scratch, it is better to paint them immediately using the standard in-game means and the appropriate dyes. So you will have to use, say, white wool blocks to change their shades later. The same applies to the terracotta, given that not every color can be changed in Minecraft by default. Here, you decide which way to act and how convenient the add-on's functionality is in your case for yourself.

That is the complete list of options featured by the Colorize mod at the moment. You can add it to your build and use it only when it is really necessary. It is easy to use, does not load the system, and works fine on most versions. However, you should not click the RMB while holding a dye in your hands if you are not going to change something in the appearance of the blocks, as the Colorize mod will interpret your actions as the desire to paint them. That is done automatically, and you will not be able to bind another key in the Minecraft settings.

Besides the basic blocks, the add-on can change the appearance of the mossy options, say, the cobblestones, stone bricks, brick stairs, and cobblestone slabs. That is another opportunity to quickly change the appearance of the desired in-game block without spending additional resources on crafting. The mod has thus proved to be quite a convenient and fast tool for these purposes.
