Getting apples in Minecraft is far from an easy task, since you have to chop down a lot of trees or cut off piles of foliage, wait for a while until the apples fall, and only then collect them. In a word, it takes a lot of time, and if the player needs to get plenty of fruit, it’s easier to trade with the villagers, but you still need to ask for a discount, which is an additional process that requires time, experience, and certain actions. The Blossom mod will add the opportunity to get fruit from oak trees to the game. Unlike before, when you had to wait for the apples to fall, now you can cut them without touching the tree foliage or trunk. Cool mechanics, aren’t they? Indeed, they’ll really grow on any trees, but they’ll need bees flying nearby and pollinate them, so everything is not so simple here…

There are oak trees in Minecraft, and sometimes they drop apples, but this only happens if the player cuts down the entire tree or foliage. Installation of the Blossom mod changes the mechanics, so that you can collect these types of fruits. From now on, they will grow on all oak trees, and you won’t have to chop down the trunk or cut off the foliage. Now, all the player needs is to create conditions for pollination, so, they need more bees. They fly, pollinate the foliage, and apples appear there after a while, which look a little like berries. Sometimes, they are completely invisible, although you can see certain detail if you get closer.

As a result, oak trees will bloom and bear fruit, and players will no longer have to cut down dozens or even hundreds of trunks to get the coveted harvest. Another important detail of the game of Minecraft is additional conditions for gameplay and interaction with bees. You’ll have to breed them anyway to ensure decent pollination, so you’ll install hives, feed them from time to time, try to increase their total number, and this mechanics will make you want to stay in the game world even longer, whether it’s a single mode or a multiplayer Minecraft server.

Another interesting feature is the possibility of using bone flour. After installing the Blossom mod, you won’t have to wait for the fruits to ripen. All you’ll need is to use bone flour on the foliage, and after a while you’ll get apples to harvest. Cut them with scissors, just as you do with the foliage, but in fact all the leaves remain in place. And this is another reason to download the Blossom mod and give all its options a try. The mechanics are really cool, although not as realistic as we’d like them to be.

According to the mod developer, after installing the mod, a new «Blooming oak leaves» block appears in the game, which provides for this very growth and fruit ripening in the game. These blooming leaves grow until replaced by apples, and only after that you can harvest them. As soon as the player collects the fruits, the leaves will return to their original state, as in the vanilla version of Minecraft. As a result, you can harvest apples from oak trees all year round, subject to ensuring they are decently pollinated by bees. And there are plenty of different types of farms and secondary mods for these insects, which add supplementary functions.

Currently, the Blossom mod has been downloaded more than 1,300,000 times, and this number keeps growing, as the add-on is popular among users and is included in many Minecraft assemblies. The developer adds new versions promptly, and a file for Minecraft 1.20.2 is already available, although this assembly is relatively new. This mod helps you expand the possibilities of the game and brighten it up a little and supplement it. However, in general it doesn’t make any significant changes to the gameplay, so you can rest assured that the cubic world will remain the same.
