After adding this mod, Minecraft got a few new hives, a separate block that allows you to avoid bee stings, as well as several additional items and new flavors. Yes, another interesting feature of the Better Beekeeping mod is new types of honey, depending on the flower pollinated by a bee. The mod adds as many as 5 new types in addition to the standard one. We’ve briefly reviewed all of them:

· Strange Honey – you’ll get it if Minecraft bees pollinate the Wither Roses. However, if the player eats this product, the «Wither» effect will be imposed on them. You can add such types of food for your enemies so that they receive effects.

· Cool Honey – if bees pollinate blue orchids, they can produce the Cool Honey. However, it imposes the Hunger effect and can’t boast of any special beneficial features either.

· Warm Honey – if a bee pollinates poppies or tulips, you’ll be able to get the Warm Honey in Minecraft. However, it will also impose the Hunger effect, and you must be ready for such a course of events.

· Lively Honey – here, it’s an interesting option that you’ll definitely like, and it will become a reason for you to install the Better Beekeeping mod. You can get it only if a bee pollinated blue cornflowers or dandelions, which are abundant in the game world. After consuming it, you receive the Health Regeneration effect, and these bottles replace regular potions if you use them in a battle.

· Spicy Honey – you can get it if a bee pollinates lilac or onion, but after consuming it, the player will receive the «Slowness» effect.

As you can see, each honey version has its pros and cons. You can use some of them for personal consumption, but most of them should be given to your enemies so that they receive negative effects.

Other changes and updates

· Separate types of beehives will be added for each type of forest, which differ in crafting and look. They look amazing and significantly differ from the vanilla version. Now you can place bees in different hives to understand where different types of honey are produced in the game;

· A separate visual indicator has been added, showing how full a particular hive is in the game

· From now on, hives will show animation when almost full, which makes it much easier to detect such items in Minecraft

· Bees that collect nectar from the same type of flowers will produce fragrant honey when you collect it from the hives

· Bee nests and regular beehives from Minecraft won’t produce fragrant honey. This function is available for the above-described mechanics only

· Any taste of honey will cure you of the poison, but it can also impose a negative effect, as it has been mentioned above;

· You can get any items, beehives, and honey via the creative mode, if you have access to the admin panel and JEI. Look at the crafts – some of them we’ve posted as screenshots in this article.

The mechanics of the Better Beekeeping mod allows you to add your own types of plants and flowers that bees can pollinate to collect and make honey. That is, now any player can install other mods with new flowers, and these plants will also be used by insects, which is really cool. Hundreds of mods have been created for Minecraft, which offer special types of plants and flowers, and we’ve even described some of them.

The Better Beekeeping mod adds an extensive set of functions, and it’s up to you to decide how to use them. But this is surely one of the most interesting bee-related mods, which allows you to significantly expand the game functionality, complement the gameplay, and diversify the standard and regular way of farmers’ life.
