It is a mod that undertook to refine the archaeology that was proposed in version 1.20 but has not been finished by Mojang. There will now be a real archeology in Minecraft in the form of an activity that you will really want to engage in for long game hours.
The mod adds a new job to the game, namely archaeologist. You can find such a villager in special camps, on excavations, or near archaeological dungeons. Alternatively, you will be able to simply create the Archaeology Table and entrust such a difficult task to any free villager.
The archaeologist buys relics and sells mainly various useful stuff and decorative items.
The most frequently found structures here are the archaeologist camps.
You will also come across various ruins, catacombs, obelisks, and statues scattered around the game world.
The most interesting thing is the various burial grounds, where you will be able to get a lot of cool decorative items and useful things.
You will not be able to craft the fossils yourself. First of all, of course, these are various skeletons of prehistoric creatures that need to be recreated from several parts. After that, you will be able to install them in any place you like.
Among the decorative items, there are also several vintage stylish vases, which can be found in the new dungeons or dug right out of the ground.
The most useful finds can rightfully be considered special artifacts that you can find during excavations. There are four of them in total. The torrent totem will allow you to quickly move a long distance, but only once in about 15–20 seconds. The soul totem in your hand will restore your health while you inflict damage on your enemies. The growth totem planted next to the beds accelerates plant growth several times. In turn, the radiance totem placed on your base highlights all creatures within a radius of 20 blocks and deals some damage to hostile mobs.
You will also be able to craft more durable archaeological brushes from iron or diamond and enchant them to make your excavations more effective.
