Review of the Basic Backpacks Mod

Thanks to the Basic Backpacks mod, you will be able to expand the functionality of the Minecraft inventory in a couple of clicks and carry way more things, which is a very significant factor in this virtual sandbox where you have to go to a mine literally every day, break thousands of blocks, and extract different types of resources in all the dimensions.

The mod adds two new types of backpacks, which differ in terms of appearance and functionality. These are the leather backpack and the large leather backpack. In the screenshots below, you can see how they look, including on the character and in the hotbar. They are basically cool, although the designer has not experimented much and just duplicated the appearance of the new backpack.

The small backpack adds 18 extra slots, and the large one features 36 additional slots. This is a significant advantage for your inventory as a whole, as you will be able to carry a huge amount of resources, no matter what part of the game world you are currently in. However, for crafting these items, you will need to first make the small bags. Below, you can see what resources are needed for that. If you do not craft them, you will not be able to get the backpacks, as they are the necessary ingredients for making them.

The new storage items are quite easy to use: click the RMB while having them in the hotbar, and the inventory will open. If the player dies, all their contents remain in the backpack, and it will be enough to pick it up at the place of death before the loot disappears. The mechanics are quite convenient and elaborate, and the backpack itself will hover above the ground like all other resources in Minecraft.
