Alchemy Freedom

Alchemy Freedom is a small mod that adds a new dimension, new alchemy-related mechanics, ores, mobs, and dungeons to the game. It is available for the 1.12.2 game version.

Portal to a New Dimension

To get into a new dimension, it is enough to create a portal from sayrite. The latter is smelted from the sayrite cobblestone, which is, in turn, created from a special stone. It can be extracted from the sayrite ore in an ordinary mine. The portal is activated by the apostrife, which is crafted from the fire essence and magic essence.

Fire Extractor

To get the essences, you will need to go to the Nether and extract phelanite. A block of its deposits can be turned into a shard, or you can create a bed from it to extract the crystals in unlimited quantities. Indeed, if you take the phelanite deposits to the Overworld, they will begin to grow. You should break the outgrowths to get crystals. Then you need to combine them with various ingots to obtain the fire extractor. The fire essence is also a good fuel for the furnace, as it can smelt twelve items at once.

New Ores and the Fleig

Next, you will need to find two more new ores: firesteel ore and magic ore. The first is roughly as frequently found as iron in the Overworld. In contrast, the magic ore generates much less often. After finding them, you should craft the fleig, which is a kind of reservoir for storing active magic substances. Click the RMB on an ore while holding the fleig in your hand. All magic substances from it will flow into the latter, and the ore itself will completely disappear. If you put the substance from the fleig into the fire extractor, you will get the respective essence necessary to activate the portal.

The Apostrife Dimension

Having created a standard portal from the sayrite, click on it with the apostrife to activate it. The Apostrife dimension resembles the Overworld but is darker and foggier, and its sky is blue-green.

Biomes of Apostrife

There are three biomes in the new dimension: the desert, sayrite desert, and emerald plains. The sayrite desert consists entirely of sayrite with the elements of sayrite phelanite and sayrite stone. You will sometime see the new kaynite trees there. The planks made of its wood do not burn, and you can also craft the simulium from them. The latter removes heat from the adjacent object. You should also take into account that you will suffer snow there instead of rain.

Desert

The desert in Apostrife is no different from the usual desert in the Overworld but has no vegetation at all.

Emerald Plains

Despite the overall gloominess of the new dimension, the emerald plains look very saturated thanks to four new flowers: refis, blue flower, red flower, and yellow flower. Only one tree type grows there — the tall spruce.

Mobs

The mod adds the following ten new mods to the game: apostrifean illager, hunter villager, king, knight defender, mech avenger, dirt zombie, knight, assassin villager, turret, and mummy.

Mech Avenger

The mech avenger is a giant iron golem with 50 health points. Even so, despite its menacing appearance, it is not a hostile mob. However, if you hit it, it will attack you, inflicting significant damage. Unfortunately, for now, the mech avenger drops only a certain amount of experience and, occasionally, the sayrite metal.

Dirt Zombie

As its name suggests, it is a kind of zombie that also has 20 health points. It looks like a zombie but is slowed down because of being completely covered with dirt. It does not cause that much damage, so it is very easy to defeat it. After death, it drops the unknown apostrife and dirtball.

Knight Defender

The knight defender is a human in armor with the iron sword and eight health points. You can overcome it with one blow if you are equipped with the diamond sword. But if you don't have armor, the defender will be able to kill you with a few hits. After death, it drops a certain amount of experience and rarely its sword.

Knight

Another kind of guard is the knights. They also have eight health points and six damage points. However, unlike the knight defenders, they are not aggressive. Even so, they are more dangerous than their counterparts because of their agility and movement speed. After death, the knights drop a certain amount of experience and sometimes the iron sword.

King

The king also looks like an ordinary human but has a crown on its head. It has eight health points but is capable of restoring its health after taking damage. If you start hitting the king, it will try to fight back. Almost every its blow will spawn new defenders. However, the king drops just a certain amount of experience.

Mummy

The mummy appears in the desert and is quite difficult-to-detect due to its appearance. However, despite its aggressiveness, the mummy is not a dangerous mob, as it has a low damage level and movement speed. It has 18 health points and drops experience and the durable fabric.

Assassin Villager

The assassin villager has eight health and five damage points. However, you should not be afraid of them, as they are neutral towards you. They only constantly hunt mobs and other assassins. After death, the assassin villager drops its sayrite sword and a certain amount of experience.

Hunter Villager

The hunter villager is very similar to the assassin villager but has more simple clothing and the iron sword. Its health level is also eight. Unlike the assassin villagers, the hunter villagers act more organized and do not attack each other. After death, such a villager drops a certain amount of experience and, with some probability, the iron sword.

Apostrifean Illager

There are also completely aggressive illagers that attack everyone except their companions. They have 20 health points and a relatively high damage level. After death, they drop a certain amount of experience and the kif in large numbers.

Turret

The last mob added by this mod is the turret. It is small, has 20 health points, and shoots arrows. This mob is aggressive to some hunters and the player. After death, it drops experience, gunpowder, and strings.

This element has no dependencies.
