Building a cool and large castle is not the easiest task for a Minecraft player, and if they do not have enough experience or resources, that is not feasible at all, at least in the initial stages of survival. You could download ready-made maps containing such structures, especially since that we have uploaded numerous such options, but what for? After all, you can download a mod called Ager's Massive Castles, which adds a large number of different castles to Minecraft. Besides, it brings a trading system, a reputation system, kings, different types of NPCs, many new locations, weapons, hidden places, strong mobs, and much more.
The Ager's Massive Castles mod is dedicated to the Middle Ages, and so virtually all its content is related to this epoch. After a map is generated, you will see many new locations in the game. These are mainly castles of different types where you will be able to find new loot, discover various factions, make peace, start a war, conduct trade relations, take missions, fight trolls, explore new locations, and just enjoy a beautiful and pleasant atmosphere. It is solely up to you what exactly to do, but all these opportunities are provided by this mod.
Are you ready for the abundant game content? The Ager's Massive Castles mod adds a huge variety of castles to Minecraft, generated throughout the cubic world. After a new map is created, such locations will be scattered across different biomes, so you will be able to see a castle somewhere in the snow, the flower forest, the savanna, and other areas. These structures are well-designed, and we have devoted a separate paragraph for an overview of some locations below.
Each of the castles is a separate structure on the map. They can be large, medium, or small, appear with or without bridges, and have several towers or several entrances. In short, you will see various structures, depending on the biome and other default conditions specified in the settings of the Ager's Massive Castles mod by the developer. All the buildings of the kings are mainly made of stonebricks with the elements of wood blocks. Wood serves here as a basis for roofs, passages, stairs, bridges, and fences. Such an approach complements the style of these structures, which has thus proved very beautiful.
Their style is, of course, medieval, and if you look inside, you will see the familiar buildings: small houses of workers and peasants, several workshops for smelting ore, furnaces, and merchants. There is also a main keep where the king resides, but its appearance may vary depending on the castle. Another thing is the standard rooms for servants with 2–4 beds installed on one tier and boxes with basic equipment — usually the chainmail or leather armor, a sword, bow, and crossbow — standing next to each other. When you look at all this, you literally feel how a servant that works there lives.
The entire territory of any castle is fenced with walls and towers. So you will not be able to reach a keep otherwise than by using the main entrances. Moreover, there are guards at the top, which consists of a whole new type of warriors added by Ager's Massive Castles. They are equipped with swords, bows, and crossbows and look quite interesting but far from perfect. Some of the NPCs here are even clumsy, as if they were transferred from some game created in the 2000s. However, the functional side of the mod works perfectly, and each warrior clearly fulfills its tasks and protects the buildings.
On a castle's territory, you can find a large number of boxes with food, armor, valuable resources, and artifacts. Almost all the buildings, including the standalone ones, have storage rooms. Be sure to visit all the underground locations, as there may be hidden places, including a kind of pens where a large number of wolves spawn. You can use guidebooks located in the castles for quick navigation. They help to immediately understand where the buildings are located. After visiting several such locations, you will already understand where to go, even though they differ from each other.
The potential of the Ager's Massive Castles mod is not limited only to the addition of castles to Minecraft. That is just the main task that structures all the content, which is indeed abundant. In fact, the mod brings numerous features and functions:
· A trading system with NPCs, allowing you to buy a lot of valuable and useful items.
· A reputation system that embraces both you and everyone around you. Thus, if you murder a villager, kill a military man, or just cause damage to someone, your reputation will decrease.
· A large number of archers, elite knights, and ordinary knights.
· Procedural generation of castles throughout the Minecraft game world.
· A wide range of castles that are not similar to each other.
· The beggars that can steal money both from you and other characters.
· The king, queen, and the system of classes. The former are true cubic masterpieces in the form of detailed characters vested in golden textures and clothes.
· A huge selection of auxiliary buildings generated on the castle grounds: stables, barracks, food tents, churches, wells, picnic areas, separate premises for servants, etc.
· Stashes with valuable loot that can be hidden in walls or floors.
· Unique loot in the royal treasure chests that require special keys.
· Bounty hunter missions for extra rewards.
· New mob type in the form of werewolves hunting for people. They take this form only at night, and during the day, they live the ordinary life of a villager.
· Trolls, troll camps, and other types of hostile mobs that can appear in different parts of the game world;
· A new zombie type called Headspinner, which can be killed only in two stages. First, you will need to chop off its arms and then kill it.
· A wide range of the blessed weapons for beheading zombies, trolls, werewolves, etc. If you deliver the heads to a castle and show them to a king, you will receive an additional reward.
· New unique blocks and mechanisms.
· Spawn eggs for the most mobs featured by this add-on. If you wish, you can also spawn them through the admin panel to see what they are and what characteristics they have.
Be sure to visit the keeps of the king and queen, where you can find valuable gold and silver boxes. They will also require keys, but it is worth it. The same boxes may drop other types of keys, which will be useful in the future. At the very top of the keep, there is usually a king, queen, and chest next to them. In the king's bedroom, you will find several more chests hidden behind the doors. They may contain that very unique weapons that cause a large amount of damage, along with the coins, which are a local gold currency, valuable blocks, like emeralds and diamonds, and many other noteworthy items.
The gameplay of the Ager's Massive Castles mod is quite simple but quite elaborate. You will have to visit different types of castles, communicate with kings, talk with villagers, conduct trade relations with different residents, take missions to find certain characters, search all rooms and locations, use new weapons, fight new mobs, and just enjoy the gameplay. We can confidently say that the Ager's Massive Castles mod is one of the most thought-out and interesting options in the category of medieval add-ons, even given that such mods for Minecraft are constantly being released.
You can play in this world both alone and with friends. You can install this mod on a server to diversify the gameplay and provide users with new content. The game will feature a special currency, new materials, and blocks. The mechanics of interaction with NPCs will be thoroughly reworked. All this will significantly expand the potential of Minecraft. Try yourself as a wanderer, start close trade and economic relations with different kingdoms, take tasks to eliminate different personalities — here everyone decides for themselves what role to choose, but you will still have to follow certain rules…
