Untamed Wilds introduces new animals to your Minecraft game world

The game world of Minecraft does not have a wide variety of creatures. There are only a few species, which do not have any particular properties. We invite you to install Untamed Wilds, which will allow you to do so. The mod adds various snakes, spiders, bears, and other creatures. Moreover, each creature has several types, so the world will look quite diverse. This add-on will make traveling around the world even more exciting. The fact is that you can meet some kind of creature, but you don’t know for sure what kind of behavior it has.

Encyclopedia of Life

To get information about all the mobs added by this mod, you need to get an encyclopedia of life. You can craft it with a regular book and the fur of any animal from this mod. To learn more about the animals, you need to carefully explore them. They are divided into sections, including arthropods and fish. Also, you can change the book interface for more convenient use.

Tarantulas

There are 8 different types of tarantulas, each of which has a unique color. However, their characteristics do not depend on their color. If tarantulas of the same color meet each other, nothing will happen to them. But if there are two tarantulas of different colors, they begin to fight. Tarantulas have a small amount of health (only one heart). Most often, they prey on rabbits. Tarantulas are semi-passive creatures. If you are walking nearby, they won’t attack you. But if you get closer, they will eventually fight you. You can catch a tarantula in a bottle and transfer it to the required place. When killed, tarantulas may drop a piece of string. They can also lay eggs. Breaking an egg spawns a very small tarantula, which spreads particles of water. Baby tarantulas are very skittish and run away from any creatures. Tarantulas eat raw rabbit meat.

Snakes

Snakes inhabit almost every biome. There are 17 types in total. Despite their color, they are identical in characteristics. A snake in a calm state is coiled. In this case, it won’t attack you unless you approach it. If you decide to do that, it will quickly uncoil, inflict a lot of damage, and cause the poison effect. You can catch a snake by simply right-clicking on it. It will drop like a regular item, after which you can place it on the ground. You can feed snakes with raw rabbit meat. Sometimes snakes lay eggs. You can break an egg to get a small snake, but you don’t know for sure what type of snake will appear.

Turtles

There are 7 types of turtles, all living in different biomes. Each species lives in a specific biome. Besides, turtles come in different sizes. You can catch a turtle by right-clicking on it, and it will drop like an item. When killed, a turtle drops meat. If you cook it, it will replenish 3 points of saturation. Most often, turtles can be found near water places. They can lay eggs that hatch into baby turtles. Turtles are neutral creatures, but if you attack them, they will aggressively attack you back. Despite this, they do very little damage.

You can use cooked meat to create two new types of food. The turtle soup is crafted with carrots, raw squid, mushrooms, turtle meat, and a bowl. The pemmican is crafted with fat, 2 pieces of meat, and sweet berries. You can get 3 units per craft. Although the pemmican doesn’t replenish much hunger, it has a huge saturation effect.

Aardvark

Aardvarks can be found in savannahs, where they will roam around, dig for food, and eat grass. They can occasionally find an aardvark cucumber, which you can eat and thus restore 1.5 hunger units. If you throw this cucumber, the nearby aardvark will eat it. Aardvarks can sleep on their side. They are neutral creatures, but if you decide to attack them, they will turn aggressive. When killed, they drop regular bones, fat, raw pork, and sometimes rabbit fur. By combining 4 units of fat, you can create a block of fat. Falling on these blocks will reduce fall damage.

Hippo

Hippos can be found in savannah biomes, as well as swamps and small rivers. They live in small groups of three or more hippos. They can lie in different positions, both on the stomach and on the side, as well as open their mouths for yawning. While swimming in the water, the hippo becomes aggressive and may attack you. At the same time, they can be very fast and deal a lot of damage. Each hippo has 30 health points. When killed, it drops bones, animal fat, and meat, which replenishes 1.5 hunger units when raw. You can also cook this meat.

Bears

Bears can be found in forests and snowy biomes. Common brown bears live in various forests. They are of different sizes, but identical in color. Bears can not only move around but also lie, walk on their hind legs, yawn, blink, and much more. Polar bears have similar features, but they live in snowy biomes. The mod will not replace the standard polar bear and panda. They can also be found in this world. Besides, there are cave bears that can be found underground in mines. There are two types of cave bears, i.e. the common bear and the blind bear. Bears are neutral creatures. Even if you get very close, they won’t be aggressive. But if you wake them up, they will start attacking you. When killed, bears drop several units of meat, bones, and fur of a certain color. For example, if you kill a polar bear, you will get white fur. Pandas have a small distinguishing feature – they can drop both white and black fur. You can use fur to create a carpet.

Cats

Three types of big cats live in the jungle: jaguars, leopards, and cougars. The lion lives in the savannah. The snow leopard can be found in mountain biomes. They can walk around and sleep on their side. Once in the water, they will hunt fish. All these big cats will be aggressive. Besides, they will also fight among their species. When a cat dies, it drops bones and the corresponding fur, which you can also turn into carpets.

Arowana

Arowanas can be found in the waters of the jungle. These fish can swim and also jump out of the water. When killed, arowanas drop tropical fish.

Other Aquatic Animals

Football fish and ocean sunfish can be found in all oceans. They are large, which makes them look dangerous. However, they are friendly creatures. Each fish has 40 health points. If you kill it, you will get tropical fish. They differ only in appearance.

Sharks can only be found in oceans. There are 10 different species, which look different. You can meet both the blue shark and the yellow one. Sharks are aggressive toward each other if they do not look alike. Some sharks can quickly move through the water. They eat any kind of fish, as well as squids. Sharks can attack you. They take away about 10 health points per bite. Sometimes you can meet a goblin shark and a hammerhead shark. Each shark has 25 health points and only drops some experience when killed.

Giant clams can be found in the seafloor of warm oceans. In total, there are 4 species, which differ in size and appearance. When killed, clams may drop pearls, which can be crafted into decorative blocks. Click RMB while holding a shovel in your hand if you want to collect clams, which will drop like items.

Anemones can also be found at the bottom of the sea. There are 3 types of them in total – white, pink, and red. Besides, they look beautiful. If you touch anemones, you will feel poisoned for about 4 seconds.

In addition to anemones, you can also find Amazon swords. They are ornamental plants growing in rivers and oceans. So, use scissors to collect them. Besides, you can find new regular reeds growing in the swamp biome. You can use them to create sticks, as well as fuel. Thus, it can replace coal in a furnace. Shrubs are also one of the new types of plants, which can be found in the forest, on the plains, and in the swamp biome. Use scissors to collect them if needed. Elephant ears grow in the jungle. To pick them up, you also need to use scissors.
