The interaction of players on Minecraft servers is one of the most common problems for developers and admins of such projects, as it is necessary to come up with a special mechanism or resort to a ready-made but fully working solution that ensures a completely safe exchange between users. Even the vanilla version of Minecraft allows one to exchange different goods when players simply build special stations, but that is too makeshift an option, whereas you would like something more universal, right? It is here that a mod called Tom's Trading Network will come to the rescue and allow you to trade in a couple of clicks.
It adds a trading machine to Minecraft, with which you will be able to sell items of one type. The entire process is automated, so you will not have to worry that you will be deceived or restrictions will somehow be bypassed. So, if you are interested, we recommend that you read how to control this block and what its features are below.
The trading machine does not require any user permissions and rights. You just install it in the place you want, put resources there for sale and purchase, and take the exchanged items. The Tom's Trading Network mod adds only one block to the game, and for now, its options are experimental and will most likely change over time.
After you open the machine's control tab, you will see several different sections for both the seller and the buyer. However, the sale rules are set by one person using a special GUI. In general, the designer has thought through many points and added quite a convenient interface that allows you to quickly accomplish transactions. Let us now turn to the trading process itself.
Click the RMB on the new block added by the Tom's Trading Network mod, and you will see a GUI. It has several sections:
· Cost – a price for an item (say, you want 64 gold blocks).
· Result – a purchased item (you give 64 gold blocks and get 64 diamonds in return, as in our example).
· Input – the buyer places resources here.
· Output – sold resources will be moved here.
You can click on the Trading View tab at the top to quickly see how the goods are being sold, what is being sold, and at what price. You can thus understand whether the trading machine was adjusted properly or not. You should keep in mind, though, that it is necessary to set the correct values for the Cost and Result sections, and that is done by simple placement of items. Thus, say, if you need to get 30 gold blocks, you should place 30 gold blocks from your inventory there. Alternatively, if you want to get 30 diamond blocks in the Result section, you need to transfer them there from your inventory. The system remembers the exchanged items, and you can accomplish an exchange.
Note! When you place resources in the Cost and Result sections, the system does not take them from your inventory but merely copies their icons and values to ensure the transaction. All your items actually remain in the inventory, so you should not worry that you will not be able to use them.
Besides, this machine has a section with arrows where you can choose how transactions are carried out. You can thus select various directions of the trade by clicking on different arrows on the screen. You can only sell goods without buying, etc. An unlimited number of such trading machines can be installed on a map, and you can set certain names for each of them so that it is easy to find them later and understand what is being sold there.
In this way, such a simple but versatile block now allows you to facilitate the trading process in Minecraft. Moreover, the designer promises to add the possibility of automated trading with villagers, which broadens the potential of the cubic world even more. This machine is extremely useful on any server, and even if you play solo, but your friends or random players can join your game, you will be able to safely exchange with them.
