Review Terridus

This mod will add a new dimension to the game, where you will meet new mops that can be both friendly and hostile. Besides, it adds a lot of interesting items, including various gems, weapons, armor, and much more.

To get to the new dimension, you will have to build a portal structure of the coal blocks. To activate the portal, craft the deathstone from 4 pieces of coal and a diamond. You can replace the coal with the charcoal. Having created the deathstone, you need to use it by clicking the RBM on the portal.

The world of Terridus is very dark and dangerous. It is covered by the darkstone. You will be able to visit various biomes there. One of them is the dreadlands. The ground here is covered with the dreadgrass. However, it is the brightest of all, as there are many blocks and mobs that illuminate it.

There are many fright fungus blocks there dug right into the grass. As for the plants of this biome, one of them is the fright fungus itself, which also emits light.

In the dreadlands biome, you can encounter two kinds of mobs. One of them is the shroomer. It is a two-block-tall creature found in small groups and wearing a hat made of a fright fungus. These mobs are neutral and so will never attack first. If you hit a shroomer, it will start attacking you, dealing 2.5 damage with each blow. But you should not worry too much, as the nearest shroomers will not attack you — only the one you hit will do this. A shroomer has 25 health points and drops a fright fungus when killed.

The second mob is the glow snail. It is very slow and constantly stands still, only occasionally passing 2–3 blocks. When it moves, it leaves a glowing slime behind, which also emits light. The snail is a friendly mob with 30 health points. If you kill it, it will drop a glowing shell.

You have the opportunity to craft the glowing shell armor from this shell. In terms of characteristics, this armor is slightly weaker than the iron one but has unique advantages. When you equip the glowing helmet, the Night Vision II effect will be imposed on you, and you will see better in this dimension. In turn, after putting on the chestplate, the Resistance effect will be applied to you, so you will receive less damage.

There is enough light in the Limbo biome, as there is almost no fog there. This biome is practically empty, and only one herb grows there — the limbush. If you accidentally step on this grass, the Blindness IV effect will be imposed on you, which means that you will see almost nothing. This effect will disappear when you move away from this grass, though.

At times, you can see small limbug beetles near this grass. Despite their size, these creatures are very dangerous. They are hostile mobs, dealing 1.5 damage points with one hit. But it is not difficult to kill them, as they have only 5 health points. When they are killed, they drop a wither rose.

The namuh also lives in this biome. It looks like Steve but has a gray color and is kind of hunched. When you take a closer look at it, you will see that it has neither eyes nor mouth. Namuh is an aggressive mob and, at times, makes very add noises. It has 25 health points and can inflict 6 damage with one blow. It will drop only coal when killed.

The major part of the new dimension is occupied by fervent fields. This place has practically no mobs. To give this territory a little light, there are rare pits with the fiery stones. You should be careful, as if you step on such a stone, you will catch fire. There is also the fiery flower, which also emits light. Despite its beautiful appearance, it is dangerous because after stepping on it, you will start to catch fire. You can get the seeds necessary for crafting from this flower.

Sometimes, you can see an orange scorcher near a fiery stone. This beetle is a neutral mob. But if you hit it, you will immediately catch fire. You will thereby attract its attention, and it will become aggressive towards you. After killing a scorcher, you can get the scorching skin, which will be useful in crafting new items.

You can also find a giant shivershroom in the water. However, it is not particularly noteworthy.

Underwater, you can discover new purple blocks — roughrocks. They are building materials of which you can create bricks, polished blocks, steps, and fences.

The most important mob in this dimension is the missing lurker. It looks like a purple giant that makes frightening sounds. It is the boss of this dimension. It is very difficult to kill it, as it can boast 200 health points.

The mod adds 3 types of alloys. By combining a gold ingot with a coalstone shard in a smithing table, you will get a carbon alloy. If you combine this ally with water in a crafting table, you will get a cooled carbon alloy. You can also craft an alloyed diamond ingot. This is done in a smithing table of a cooled alloy and a diamond block. All these alloys will be useful for crafting new items.

The fervent fire sword is crafted from two carbon alloys and a fiery rod. This sword is very effective, as it deals 17 damage in one hit. Besides, it burns any creature on impact.

The Flameskin Amulet is crafted from three pieces of gold and the blazing seeds. Thanks to this amulet, you will enjoy infinite fire resistance, given that it lies in your inventory. You can also craft the Scorching Scarab from 4 scorching skins, 4 gold bars, and a bucket of lava. It is used to get a new effect.
