It is this that the main feature of the mod consists in: each option has certain abilities and characteristics depending on the material. Let us consider them in due order:

· Wooden Spikes. They are the simplest variant of the spikes added by Spiky Spikes. They are crafted from wood blocks and three swords, giving you three blocks at once. They slowly deal damage to mobs but cannot kill them.

· Stone Spikes. These are more versatile protective means for Minecraft that will cause damage and kill mobs. However, the creatures killed by them will not drop anything.

· Iron Spikes. They deal a lot of damage, kill creatures automatically upon contact and give you loot, but they do not allow you to collect experience.

· Golden Spikes. They are a colorful version of these blocks that will inflict a lot of damage on all creatures and kill them, but you will be able to collect only experience. In this regard, you have to decide what to place, iron or gold spikes, if there are no more valuable materials.

· Diamond Spikes. They deal a lot of damage to mobs, which will drop various items, including experience. That is, you will get the same drop as if you killed them with a sword or another weapon.

· Netherite Spikes. They are the last and the most valuable spike type on the list. They are completely resistant to explosions and cannot be destroyed by different bosses. If mobs hit these spikes, they drop experience and loot and suffer maximum damage. To craft them, you will have to improve the diamond ones on the anvil.

But that is not all! You will also be able to apply enchantments to spikes to gain even more benefits. That works only with the diamond and netherite variants. The result is a universal device that will protect the player in all situations — the main thing here is to place it correctly. Thus, iron and gold blocks can be placed side by side so that the former constantly provides loot and the latter experience. Then, at more advanced stages of your development, you can place more durable blocks so that you can immediately get both loot and experience from the diamond or netherite spikes.

The features of the Spiky Spikes mod give you additional advantages when creating automated farms. Thus, even in the vanilla Minecraft, it is possible to create structures where mobs fall from above and preserve only a few HP left. After that, you can kill them with bare hands and get all their loot. However, you have to stand near this structure and constantly click the RMB. But if you install Spiky Spikes, you will be able to simply place several diamond or netherite spikes under the tunnel from which mobs fall, and once they hit them, all the loot and experience will drop automatically. It will remain only to use funnels to collect all that automatically.

That is not the only way to use the Spiky Spikes mod, but this example allows you to understand all the significance of the new functions in the game. At the same time, everything remains vanilla, and each player collects resources for spikes themselves and crafts them based on their capabilities. The new blocks fit with the overall Minecraft style perfectly. The system works with almost all mobs, both from the Overworld and other dimensions.
