Spectre

A small mod, which slightly complements the vanilla combat aspect in Minecraft. It introduces one new mob into the game, as well as a few new recipes for crafting armor and weapons. Besides, a new merchant will appear in the game, who will offer the player to buy decent weapons and immortality totems.

A New Mob

The Lost Soul – a new mob added by the mod. 12.5 health hearts, ability to penetrate through blocks, not particularly strong but unpleasant attacks. The mob isn’t generally very difficult and won’t be an obstacle for an experienced player.

The mob drops fabric pieces and ectoplasm that you’ll need to craft new items.

New Ingots

Two new ingots will appear in the game – the Spectral Iron and the Hunted Iron.

You can get the Spectral Iron on a workbench by combining an iron ingot and the Lost Soul’s ectoplasm.

And the Hunted Iron is crafted on a workbench from an Amethyst Block and the Spectral Iron.

New Armor

You can use the Spectral ingots and fabric pieces to craft a new, rather powerful set of armor, whose characteristics are similar to the vanilla diamond armor.

This armor has two helmet options that differ in crafting recipes only.

Weapons

You can use the Spectral and iron ingots to craft a full set of vanilla tools, as well as a sword that gives +7.5 damage to enemies.

Besides, five types of new weapons crafted according to mixed recipes will appear in the game. The characteristics of this weapon don’t significantly differ from the vanilla ones, with its indicators depending on the items used for crafting.

The strongest sword – the Hunters’ Claymore – gives +12 damage and a 0.8 speed debuff. You can craft it from the Diamond Claymore and the Hunted iron ingots.

Artefacts

Beyond that, two artifact rings and an additional slot in the character’s menu for carrying them will appear in the game.

The first one – the Spectral Ring – is crafted from the Spectral Iron ingots and ectoplasm and imposes the permanent Speed effect on the player.

The second one – the Hunted Ring – is crafted from the Spectral Ring, the Hunted Iron ingots, and lapis lazuli and simultaneously imposes two effects on the player: The Five Level Speed and the Third Level Strength.

The Soul Merchant

A new profession table will also appear in the game, which turns a villager into a gloomy soul merchant.

The table is rather easy to craft, though it’s quite expensive.

However, it completely pays off at further auctions. The merchants’ offers are rather beneficial, considering that he sells immortality totems for 15 ectoplasms and 32 emeralds at the Master level.
