Skeletal Remains: New Types of Skeletons

Fighting mobs in Minecraft is not a difficult task, especially when the player has already gone through all the in-game locations and knows all the subtleties of the cubic world. You can create farms and automatically collect resources without having to go out at night and move through biomes. That is why we suggest you complicate the gameplay by diversifying the skeletons. To do that, it is enough to install a mod called Skeletal Remains, which will add many new types of skeletons to Minecraft, each with a unique appearance, particular characteristics, spawn locations, and other distinctive features.

You should be prepared for the fact that you will now encounter different types of skeletons in almost any biome. They will attack faster than their vanilla counterparts and employ different types of arrows, bows, and many other items that you will have to get used to. Such an add-on can be installed both for playing solo and on a server, regardless of the focus of the latter. The Minecraft universe allows you to integrate the Skeletal Remains mod in almost any project implying the presence of mobs.

Review of the Skeletal Remains Mod

The mod adds seven skeleton types to the game, which cannot be summoned with the help of the spawn eggs. To begin with, before proceeding to describe each of them, we would like to highlight some features of this mod:

· New types of skeletons for Minecraft, each with a unique appearance, including the explosive and armored ones.

· Several new items, mostly weapons used not only by mobs but also by the player. These are unique weapon types that will allow you to kill any in-game creature faster.

· New recipes for crafting bone blocks and the bone meal, which will be extremely useful for farmers engaged in cultivating vegetable gardens and growing different types of crops.

· Improved gameplay and survival even for those who know everything about Minecraft.

· Compatibility with both singleplayer mode and server games.

As you can see, the mod's potential is broad, even though it cannot boast particularly rich functionality compared with other similar add-ons. Let us now turn to each of the in-game skeleton types.

Overgrown: The Jungle Skeleton

The Overgrown is a unique skeleton for Minecraft that spawns exclusively in the jungle. You may simply not notice it in some locations, as it blends with trees and grass, being of the same green shades. It shoots poisonous arrows, and if you kill this mob, you will get these very arrows for subsequent use against other mobs.

Sharpshooter: The Mesa Skeleton

The Sharpshooter is a skeleton that appears in the mesa biome, also known as the badlands. It shoots arrows that fly faster than the ordinary ones. Besides, they do more damage, so if you kill these mobs, you can get such arrows of luck at your disposal.

Charred: The Nether Skeleton

The Charred is a unique and beautiful skeleton type from the Nether, which should not be confused with the standard wither skeleton. It shoots burning arrows, deals a lot of damage, and drops the same lool as the vanilla Nether skeletons. It spawns mainly in the Nether wastes biome.

Sunken: The Aquatic Skeleton

The Sunken is another eye-pleasing skeleton for Minecraft that spawns exclusively in the aquatic biomes. It does not know how to swim, though, and so moves along the ocean bed and deals damage with arrows that can fly through the water. No water barrier can hinder them, which makes this mob a universal fighter of the underwater world.

Fallen: The Forest Skeleton

The Fallen is the forest version of the skeleton that uses swords instead of bows. You have certainly never seen such mobs in Minecraft before. These creatures appear in the destroyed church structures that will generate after you install this mod. If you kill a forest skeleton, it will drop an iron ingot and bones, but the designer promises to add a unique valuable loot for it in the future.

Swamped: The Swamp Skeleton

The Swamped is an attractive in-game mod that fascinates one with its appearance from the first minutes. Many unique player skins resemble this skeleton, so you can even choose such a look for your character and try to merge into the crowd. Instead of the standard bow, it uses an improved one and spawns in the mangrove and ordinary swamps. After death, it drops bones and mud blocks. But if you are lucky enough, you can get that very Will O' Bow.

Deserter: The Desert Skeleton

The Deserter can hide perfectly in the desert biomes, as they blend with the background and blocks. They use a crossbow or the unique Sand Bane sword, which can also drop if you kill such a skeleton. Besides, it sometimes drops sand blocks, enchanted sand shards, and other items.

These are all the mobs added by the mod, but Skeletal Remains also brings some important items to Minecraft, which we have already touched upon. We have used version 1.19.2, but the mod already supports the 1.20.1 version, and all the items described below are available there. So if you would like to take full advantage of the mod's functionality, we recommend installing its latest version.

The tidal arrows are a special type of in-game arrows that can fly through the water without changing their trajectory. That is very convenient if you need to kill some aquatic animal, creature, or boss, say, when diving to the ocean monuments. You can get these arrows only by killing the Sunken or in the creative mode via JEI.

The Will O' Bow can be obtained only if you kill the Swamped, but the chance is low. This bow replaces standard arrows with the slowing ones.

The Sand Bane is a beautiful sword for Minecraft dropped exclusively by the Deserters. He has a 20% chance of imposing the Slowness II effect when you deal damage to your enemies. Besides, the designer claims that this sword can be crafted using a golden sword and the enchanted sand shards also occasionally dropped by the same skeletons.

The Skeletal Remains mod can boast the noteworthy content and allows any of you to fight with the new skeleton types that will spawn in different biomes. You will now be able to encounter such creatures in almost all areas with mobs and get nice loot if you defeat them. Some of them have unique and useful attributes that will allow you to increase damage and gain additional advantages in combat. In multiplayer mode, such artifacts will surely be in demand among players on the market, so if you have joined such a server or installed this mod on your own server, prepare for the fact that the price for the new items will literally skyrocket.
