Sculky: A New Dimension for Minecraft

Minecraft can boast many different biomes and locations where players can find loot, fight mobs, and just enjoy the gameplay, but not all the places and blocks have practical applications. Thus, the developers have added the sculk, but it is not that easy to find it. The player has to visit the ancient city and look for them among numerous other blocks. However, special mods that add whole dimensions consisting of this resource to Minecraft have already appeared, and if you are ready to get immersed in the world of adventures, be sure to install an add-on called Sculky, which we are going to consider.

The game will now feature a new dimension accessible through the ancient city — finally, the portal in this structure will be of some use. You will be able to activate the portal and teleport to another world, where you will find numerous sculk deposits, decorative blocks, different types of items and weapons, and unique artifacts. So if you have been long bored with the standard gameplay of Minecraft, feel free to install the Sculky mod and take full advantage of its features.

Review of the Sculky Mod

The main advantage of the Sculky mod is a large set of sculk-related blocks. So if you were missing these turquoise decorative elements in Minecraft, it is time to install this add-on. All the new blocks can boast an eye-pleasing contrast texture. They can be used not only for the finishing of your buildings but also for interior design, as they indeed have numerous applications, both for modern and medieval structures. Just look at how cool they look in the screenshots! But you can be sure that in the game, all this looks even cooler. You will be able to craft steps and other standard in-game elements from these blocks.

We have taken as many different screenshots with these blocks as possible to show you how they look and differ from each other. You will be able to use different variants of all the items added by this mod, combining them with each other. Some of these blocks are functional. The first thing to consider is a book added together with other items. In it, the modder briefly describes all the content of this add-on, so if you do not know where to start, you should immediately craft this item. However, it is not recommended to use it with the JEI mod since the texture of the open book hides the JEI interface by being superimposed on it, and you will thus not be able to turn the pages.

You will occasionally find the stronghold keys, but if you wish, you will also be able to craft them. With their help, you will be able to unlock the strongholds and activate portal frames. However, you will have to put in a lot of effort to find all the necessary ingredients for them. The main feature of this mod is the sculk dimension, which you can get to through a vanilla ancient city. To do that, you will need to craft the sculk charge and activate the portal using it. All this is described in the guidebook and shown in the screenshot below.

Note! Once you teleport to the new dimension, you will appear in the air and need to use your water drop skills to fill a water bucket below and not die. Besides, you can use the elytra and fireworks, which will save you from falling.

You will be able to find new crafting ingredients in the sculk temples. You will have to visit them and fight with different mobs to get as much loot as possible. There, you will come across not only unique artifacts but also familiar blocks. The local dungeons mainly consist of different types of skulk, which is the salient feature of the mod. Besides, you will need a new block called the steadstone, but to mine it, you will have to craft a new pickaxe. To craft many new items, you will also need the sculk tooth. You will be able to find it in the temples and other structures added by this mod. You should necessarily visit them, as the teeth will be needed for crafting a scythe, an axe, and other unique items with advanced characteristics. With the help of such tools and weapons, you will be able to deal more damage to all mobs and explore different types of locations in Minecraft.
