In Minecraft, transferring different types of resources is a pleasant experience for any player. You can find them in treasuries, different dungeons, steal them from players on the server if it is not prohibited, mined in mines, and in other dimensions. In general, there a lot of options, but the character’s inventory is limited, and if you have a stack of each resource, the slots will fill up very quickly. Let alone additional items, which can take up a full slot. You could use Shulkers, but few players have the opportunity to craft such items. Well, what can you do?
Well, the Scout: Refabricated mod will come to rescue, adding a physical expansion of your character’s inventory. That is, now you’ll be able to add new types of bags with a few new slots. In each of them, you’ll be able to store resources, items, and different types of artifacts. Even better news is: this extension works on the basis of another library called Trinkets, which we’ve already reviewed in detail. Many other add-ons are developed on the basis of this mod that allow you to expand the capabilities of the inventory, add new slot types, such as rings and necklaces, put on several types of armor and so on.
So, if you are reading this review, it means that you have decided to install the Scout: Prefabricated mod, which expands the character’s inventory. This is the right decision, since you’ll actually double it if you count all the cells being added in Minecraft. It adds a few different types of bags to the game, and each of them is equipped in a separate slot. That is, your inventory is physically expanded, and visually it’s highlighted in the game with orange textures. Now, you can quickly determine which cells are used, and which bag you need for this.
In the screenshots that we posted, you can see what one or another bag looks like, how the character’s inventory visually expands, and how the entire thing looks in the game. Bags will be equipped through separate slots added with Trinkets, and Scout: Refabricated won’t operate if you don’t install this mod. You should keep in mind when choosing this add-on. In general, Trinkets is often included in many user builds, as it’s an extremely popular and important library for any mod that uses slots, inventory, and GUI users in Minecraft.
For crafting any kind of bags, you can use burnt leather, which you can get by burning it in any furnace: you put a standard material and get a completely different one as a result. To craft these items you’ll mainly need sticks, ropes, and threads. The recipes are close to real ones so that you can craft the simplest items in Minecraft, which is also a significant advantage of the Scout: Refabricated mod, since almost any player will be able to make a bag for expanding slots at the very beginning. With it, you’ll be able to transfer more resources from mines and various locations, as well as travel to dungeons, for example, in the Nether or in the End.
By default, all items are saved for that very bag where they were placed. Moreover, the system immediately indicates how many slots are free in a certain storage, and if you hover the cursor over the character’s GUI, you’ll visually see how much free space there is, and what resources are blocks are being stored there. The system will also automatically expand your standard interface by adding additional slots to the side and bottom: when you add a bag, you get more slots, and if you remove it, your inventory is reduced. So, this is a convenient storage system in Minecraft, which is often suitable for realistic gameplay.
The Scout: Prefabricated add-on is available for the Fabric loader only, so your build must be based on it so that the mod operates smoothly. The developer isn’t going to do anything for Forge, which he wrote about right in the product description. If you want to expand the list of slots, and do it using a few bags only, then install the Scout: Refabricated mod and give it a try. This is a great option for each of you, allowing you to collect more resources and blocks, move between locations, and travel longer.
And if you want to save and transfer loot in Minecraft more often, install the Back To Bed mod, which we’ve also done a detailed review of. With it, any of you will be able to find yourself on the bed you set last in the game in one click. These mechanics works in any dimension, no matter where on the globe you currently are. As you can see, you can combine Back To Bed and Scout: Refabricated, making it easier to perform routine game operations: you can collect more resources and take them right home by teleporting to one and the same point.
