Review Rigoranthus Emortis Reborn

Rigoranthus Emortis

It is a rather creepy, but at the same time quite interesting mod that adds several frightening creatures with their specific structures and properties. They will treat you like an enemy, so the list of those who want to kill you will grow. The mod was created for the modpack “MachiavellianMadness”. Despite this, you can use it in other modpacks. In this case, some items are uncraftable since they need objects from other mods. The mod is compatible with the latest versions of the game, i.e. 1.16.5.

Sundered Cadaver

It is a very creepy mob that has no legs. The mob uses its arms for movement, which means it just crawls along the ground. Although it has no legs, it is a regular mob that looks like a zombie. Its eyes glow bright white and can also give you a good scare. Since these mobs have no legs, they can climb walls and ceilings. So, you have to be wary when you are in dark rooms. Remember that a Sundered Cadaver can attack you from above. You won’t meet this mob during the day. It appears only at night or in some very dark rooms. However, if you see it in daylight, it won’t burn. The Sundered Cadaver makes the same sounds as zombies. This creature is aggressive and will try to kill you in every possible way. One of its advantages is a large amount of health, which is 40 points. When attacked, the Sundered Cadaver leaps to dodge the blow. If you kill it, you will get several items, including bones, –bone fragments, rotten flesh, and cadaverous ichor.

Necraw Fascii

This creature is a zombie with a broken back, which walks with a stoop. Its chest is fractured, and you can see blood and its twisted spine. As with the Sundered Cadaver, the Necraw Fascii’s eyes also glow bright white. The creature makes frightening sounds as if it is choking on its blood. The fact is that it suffers from a flesh-eating disease. If you get too close to this mob, you might get infected. Its necrotizing effect lasts exactly for a minute. This minute will start anew when you approach the mob. The Necraw Fascii is a hostile creature that will try to attack you. You lose about 4 health points each time it bites you. The mob can also leap at players. Due to its 45 health points, it is hard to kill. Besides, it has pretty good armor equal to wearing a diamond chestplate. Just like a zombie, the Necraw Fascii appears only at night. The sunlight makes it burn and slowly die. Upon death, this creature drops the same items as the Sundered Cadaver, including rotten flesh, bones, bone fragments, and cadaverous ichor.

The effect of this disease, which is called “Necrosis”, works much like poisoning. Thus, when applying this effect, you will lose health points. So, you have to kill this mob. Otherwise, its disease will kill you. In addition, this effect has another negative side: you will sometimes slow down as if there is an invisible wall in front of you, which means that your character comes to a complete stop when running. To quickly get rid of this effect, drink some milk.

Using Cadaverous Ichor and Bone Fragments

Bone fragments are needed only to craft a whole bone from three of its fragments in a workbench. The cadaverous ichor is used to get a Pact of Servitude, which you will need later.

Languid Dweller

It is a rather strange creature that looks quite frightening. If you look at its torso, you will notice that its chest is fractured, and there is blood inside. It resembles the Necraw Fascii, but the Dweller is much bigger. Its head looks like the head of some animal. You will notice that there are no eyes on it. There is only a huge mouth, which occasionally opens. The Languid Dweller is a hostile creature. Upon meeting, it will run up to you quickly and try to bite you. It can also climb walls and ceilings. When you hit it, it may spawn silverfish that will also attack you. Killing the Languid Dweller is hard since it has a large amount of health, which is 75 points. Besides, you lose a lot of health each time it bites you. If you succeed in killing it, you will get several items, including bones, the Dweller’s skin, a gold fragment, and coal.

Applying Languid Dweller Skin

First, you can smelt it to get standard leather. The second use is to craft a chestplate. This chestplate represents the creature’s chest from the front and its spine from the back. The chestplate is pretty strong. In terms of durability, it can compete with a diamond chestplate. Besides, its toughness is equal to one. To get soul coal, you don’t have to kill this creature. Just combine 2 coals and 2 blocks of soul sand. You can use it as regular coal for smelting in a furnace. However, the soul coal can smelt up to 15 items. You can also smelt the gold fragment to get a piece of gold.

Canis

It is a huge gray wolf that looks more like a werewolf. This mob is your enemy. Due to its large amount of health, which is equal to 100 points, it is difficult to kill. Besides, it has good armor that can compete with an iron or diamond chestplate. You can meet the Canis only at night. However, it won’t burn in daylight. It makes scary sounds. If you have no armor, you will lose about 6 health points each time the Canis bites you. Despite this, the Canis is weak during the daytime. But this mob becomes much more dangerous at night. When you attack it, there is a chance it forms lightning. In this case, you get a chat message saying that the Canis wants you to leave. If there is a thunderstorm, Sundered Cadavers will appear nearby. They will also attack you. So, the Canis is somewhat of a boss in this mod. Killing the Canis drops a few items, including silver ore fragments and even a random enchanted book.

Pact of Servitude

Don’t be quick to kill the Canis. After all, you can try to tame it and use it for your purposes. To do that, you should make a Pact of Servitude in a brewing stand. So, use a bottle of ichor as the main ingredient and fill other cells with empty sheets of paper. Before risking your life, make sure that you take several Pacts of Servitude since you will hardly get anything from one. If you succeed, the Canis will light up for a couple of seconds, and an inscription about its taming will appear on the screen. After that, the Canis will become your pet, and the color of its eyes will change from bright red to white. You can control a tame Canis, make it sit or walk, or ride it like a horse. But unlike the horse, the Canis can move through the water. Besides, your tame Canis will kill your enemies.

Tame Canis Upgrade

The following step is to prepare a Pact of Myrmidon in the same brewing stand. Use a wither-skeleton skull as the main ingredient and fill other cells with 3x Pact of Servitude. As a result, you get an enchanted file with a gold medal in the lower left corner. After upgrading, the Canis becomes even more dangerous for your enemies. Its health reserve and damage increase. But you can no longer ride it. However, the Canis can carry your items. You have to right-click the Canis if you want to open its inventory. Besides, you can further upgrade the Canis by combining a Dragon’s Breath and the previously obtained 3x Pact of Myrmidon in a brewing stand. Thus, you will get a Rogue Pact of Myrmidon. After that, the Sundered Cadaver will saddle your Canis. Here is your chance to deal fatal damage with a single blow. After all, the crawling zombie is on your side!

There is also a final upgrade, which can make your Canis invincible. To do that, you will have to prepare a Pact of Perturbation in the same brewing stand. Use a pernicious ingot as the main ingredient and fill other cells with the previously obtained 3x Rogue Pact of Myrmidon. To get a pernicious ingot, combine 4 Netherite Ingots, 4 Pickled Spider Eyes, and a Dragon’s Breath in a workbench. After that, the Canis evolves. It will have three heads: its main head will be in the middle, and there will be two Sundered Cadaver’s heads. The upper head will be with a bow and the lower one with a dagger.

Jessic

Jessic– is a tree that is absent in the world, but you can create it yourself. To get Jessic wood, use a smithing table, in which you have to combine the wood of any tree with a piece of gold. Jessic foliage is created similarly by combining any foliage and a piece of gold. You can use the wood as a building or crafting block. Thus, you can create boards, doors, hatches, fences, stairs, and slabs. All these blocks are visually pleasing.

Blocks

Pink Salt is crafted from 8 sugars and pink dye. There is nothing unusual about this block. You can use it as a decorative or building block. A similar block is Himalayan Salt obtained by smelting Pink Salt. Oxylite is a more useful block crafted from 9 blocks of dense ice. Oxylite blocks fully eliminate the sliding effect, thus allowing you to move much faster .
