Stun

Stun is in fact, «freezing» of a player or a mob, which prevents them from doing anything for a certain period of time. It has some special features:

· Both the player and any mob can be stunned in the game, but the chance of this to happen is extremely low;

· As soon as the «stun» effect is activated, you can hear a sound signal and see white particles above the creature, indicating this mechanic. If the player or mob has got a severe stun, you’ll hear a bit different sound;

· As soon as the «stun» effect is cast on the player, he won’t be able to deal damage to other users or mobs. But at the same time, he still has the «parrying» skill, which allows to stop the enemy’s attack and even strike back;

· If the player parries, there is a 30% chance of being severely stunned. This effect lasts longer in the game.

Parrying

Parrying – is a unique type of blocking attacks, which is mainly used only in AAA projects with a elaborate combat system. There was no such thing in Minecraft by default, and the developer of the Redxzy's Perry & Stagger mod decided to add these mechanics. As a result, we can pay attention to a number of the following features:

· To activate «parrying» in Minecraft, you need to click the R key when a player is trying to strike you. That is, you block the opponent’s strike, simultaneously getting a surge of health and speed. At the same time, you’ll hear a signal to let you know that this option is activated;

· Parrying an attack deals 5 hearts of damage to the opponent and stuns all enemies in a certain area. Besides, it works against both players and mobs;

· The parry timer is around half a second (10 ticks). But at the same time, you should keep in mind that mobs can also use this effect against the player;

· A wrong parry time will activate a certain level of slowing down and weakness for half a second (10 ticks), which is about the same as stunning, but weaker.
