Moreover, even if you process these blocks with a shovel, they will behave standardly, as in the vanilla game version. So there is only one option left: if you happen to come across quicksand in the biome and have buckets with you, you can collect these blocks with the latter. One bucket holds one such block, and you will be able to subsequently put it anywhere. However, you will have to stock up on buckets to drag a large amount of quicksand to some specific areas.

Then, it is up to you what to do with them. Thus, you can take all the blocks you receive and create full-fledged traps so that opponents or mobs cannot get to your house or castle. It is enough to create a moat, fill it with quicksand, and wait. Once a particular user tries to get to you, they will immediately fall through. Besides, you can install an arrow dispenser, dig deep pits into which one can fall and lose all the loot, etc. In short, the applications are numerous, and in this regard, the Quicksand add-on provides each player with many new opportunities.

Another important nuance is that this mod adds not only ordinary quicksand but also the red one, which is in demand on all Minecraft servers because of its rarity. So if you come across the red quicksand, you can consider yourself lucky enough. You can also collect it with an ordinary bucket and then pour it anywhere you wish. It is an interesting mechanic that allows you to create full-fledged traps at any time or just hide some loot. Indeed, you can make a platform within the sand, put valuable resources into chests there, and cover everything with quicksand blocks.
