More Zombies: New Sinister Creatures

Would like to add more scary features to the game, like new zombies with unique textures? If so, we suggest you install an add-on called More Zombies, completely dedicated to the zombie theme. It adds not only new types of zombies but also a whole dimension inhabited by them to the game. Moreover, it features much more noteworthy zombie-related content, which will effectively enrich your game experience. Unfortunately, the mod has not been updated for a very long time and is only available on versions 1.14–1.16. Even so, you should try it, as you will certainly see something new. Let us examine the new zombie types to learn everything about them.

Overworld Zombies

The More Zombies mod adds as many as four zombie types for the Overworld. In total, it features eight types, but we will tell you about their spawning location a little later. One of them is the zombie runner. As its name suggests, it has a very high movement speed, which makes it quite a dangerous monster. Its weakest point is the health level. The fact is that he has only five health points, so it will not be difficult to kill it. Its appearance closely resembles the vanilla zombie, but it is lighter and has green particles on its clothes. After you kill a zombie runner, three more vanilla zombies will immediately appear and try to kill you. The main loot that it drops is the zombie eye.

Zombie Spitter

It is a mob with the vanilla-like characteristics — that is, twenty health points. It looks more intimidating, though, and its eyes are colored yellow. It emits disgusting green particles. The salient feature of this zombie is a long-range attack. So it does not need to approach the player to deal damage to them. That is why it will be much more difficult to kill this zombie type. When it sees the player, such a zombie starts spitting a special poison, which not only causes damage to the player but also imposes the Poison effect. When it hits the main character, the screen edges become polluted with the poison, which spoils the view. This zombie mainly drops its own eye.

Furious Zombie

This zombie is much more deadly than the above ones, as it has not only increased health but also excellent weapons. The furious zombie can boast 50 health points and an excellent armor of ten defense points. It holds two swords at once, and they are all covered in blood. This zombie looks terrifying: there is a lot of blood on it, and its eyes are also colored red. You should be wary not to encounter it, as without armor and a sword, it will be difficult to defeat it. As for the loot, it sometimes drops its sword of five damage points. Besides, you will be able to get zombie eyes, iron ingots, and rotten flesh. Do not forget that all these zombies burn in daylight, and the furious zombie is no exception.

Zombie Summoner

The last new Overworld zombie type is the zombie summoner. It has 40 health points, which makes it an equally dangerous creature. However, the health level is not the deadliest side of this zombie, as its main ability is to summon zombies during the battle with the player. And it will do that quite actively, so it will be extremely difficult to defeat such a zombie. Moreover, the summoner is not afraid of daylight and unlike other zombies, it will not burn. However, if the player notices it, it will emit fire particles, then blood, and over time, it will disappear without a trace altogether. The most valuable item it drops is the weak magic core.

Getting to the New Dimension

To go to the new dimension, you will need to build a portal frame using a new block called the bloody stone. To craft one such block, you will need a cobblestone block and two zombie eyes. Create enough new blocks to build the portal frame. Everything is almost ready — it will remain only to craft the eye on a stick to activate the portal. It requires two blaze rods, two weak magic cores, and a zombie eye. That's it — you can go to the new dark dimension.

Traveling Across the Dark Dimension

Before you start your journey, though, be sure to stock up on torches or, better, night vision potions, as you will not be able to see anything in this dimension at all and will not be able to do without light sources. You will see only one block before you and witness only darkness beyond. The dimension consists entirely of new blocks and has unique vegetation. All over it, you will see pink ash particles.

The main inhabitant of this dimension is the dark zombie, which can be seen everywhere. This zombie type is quite strong because it can boast 50 health points. It looks terrifying: its eyes are white, and there are a lot of dark particles on its body. After death, it drops the zombie eyes.

Zombie Hydra

It is another inhabitant of the new dimension, which is less frequently found than the dark zombie, and that is not surprising. The fact is that the zombie hydra is a mini-boss, as it has as many as 120 health points, which makes it a very strong monster. Of course, besides the large health stock, this mob has increased damage, so you will not be able to overcome it without good armor. Moreover, if you have killed a zombie hydra, do not get too excited since two more zombies with 60 health points will appear after that. Further, when you kill one such zombie, two more will spawn, with 30 health points each. However, you will not be able to bypass the zombie hydra, as it drops a resource necessary for summoning the principal zombie of this dimension. It is called the god metal nugget.

Zombie Buffer

It is the last inhabitant of the new dimension that will spawn naturally. This zombie looks colorful: its clothes are very bright, and its eyes are brilliant red. It emits purple particles. The zombie buffer appears along with the ordinary zombies that will protect it. It can not only deal damage but also disappear from sight. However, thanks to the purple particles, you will be able to easily detect it. Moreover, the zombie buffer can become invulnerable for a while, which usually happens when it is invisible.

Summoning the Boss

To start this process, you will need to find a magic stone that will be generated in this dimension. But that is not the most difficult task, though, as you will also need to craft the god totem, which will require rare and valuable resources. The latter include the god metal block, dark diamond, and magic core. The zombie hydra drops the respective nuggets. You should create ingots from them and then the full-fledged block. The dark diamond is not that difficult to craft: you will need a diamond and eight zombie eyes. As for the magic core, it is created from four fire powders, four dark diamonds, and the weak magic core. That's it — mix all the above items and get the god totem. Then, right-click on the magic stone while holding the totem in your hand. You can start the battle, but remember that it will be very difficult to defeat this boss, as it has as many as 600 health points and numerous abilities.
