Mo' Creatures

A mod that adds a wide range of wild animals to Minecraft. Some of them are aggressive and dangerous, some are quite peaceful and calm. Most of the new animals can be tames and follow you as pets.

In addition to new mobs, the mod also changes the existing ones, for example, new cats with trumpet tails and baby horses will appear in the world. In fact, this mod – is a progenitor of the legendary Alex’s mobs, but it’s much more and better developed and contains a larger number of mobs, including mythical ones.

In addition to mobs, the mod adds related items as well, such as armor, weapons, and artifacts you can use to interact with animals.

Mobs

All the mobs can be divided into several categories.

Peaceful mobs – are raccoons, moles, birds, cats, and various underwater inhabitants. They don’t actually care if the players are nearby or not, they aren’t interested in them or afraid of them.

Conditionally dangerous mobs – are those mobs that don’t attack first but will easily fight back when hurt. These include wild boars, snakes, ostriches, and varans.

Dangerous mobs – are those mobs that always attack the player when they get in the way. In general, these are near-mythical animals, such as manticores, wyverns, ogres, or ents. All of them are rather strong and dangerous opponents, which you need to fight with greatest caution and carefulness.

In total, there are about 80 species of new mobs, including marine and mythical ones. All the mobs are developed in detail, feature nice textures and models, and their personal animation.

Armor and weapons

Totally, the mod adds 6 new types of armor to the game. All of them have the same protection rate – just below the vanilla iron one.

The reptile armor is crafted of reptile skin falling out of crocodiles, varans, and other scaly creatures.

The fur armor is crafted of fur falling out of werewolves and other fur creatures.

The other 4 armors – are different types of Scorpion armors. Respectively, it’s crafted of the scorpions’ chitin – the Cave, Earth, Frost, and the Nether ones. This armor can’t boast of any special rates either but can impose various effects on the player.

Thus, a full set of the Armor of the Nether Scorpion imposes an infinite fire resistance effect on the player. (You see the rime on the timer here and below, but it never resets to zero).

The Armor of the Earth Scorpion imposes an infinite regeneration effect.

The Armor of the Frost Scorpion gives an infinite Water Breath.

А The Armor of the Cave Scorpion will provide the player with a permanent night vision effect.

Indeed, all effects are infinite only as long as the character is wearing the armor.

Weapons are a little more diverse in the mod. Totally, the mod adds 8 types of artifact weapons and 6 craft weapons. But there is no difference between them, but for their look and difficulty of getting them – they all inflict 6 damage points and give 1.6 attack speed.

You can get theartifact weapons from rare mobs or find it in dungeons.

Respectively, the craft weapons can be crafted on the workbench using the materials found – shark teeth, wyvern eyes, or scorpion stings.

Besides, due to the damage inflicted on enemies or a possible use as a decorative armor on a tamed mammoth, weapons can include the Tusk tips. No matter if you’re holding them in your hand or the mob’s wearing them, they inflict 6 damage per hit and can be considered a full-fledged weapon.

Besides, it’s quite simple and cheap to craft them (with the exception of the diamond version), so it won’t be difficult to create them.

The tusks are a part of the elephant armor, set, which also includes elephant clothing, a palanquin, a chest, and a harness, so, you can tame an elephant or a mammoth if you want, and ride it like a horse.

Additionally, now you can craft your own saddles and armor for your horses.

Othe items

Now, you can fish not only using a fishing rod, but a special net as well.

For your tamed cats, you can craft a bed, a ball of yarn, or special food.

You can raise your tamed riding animals using a whip and sugar cubes.

Besides, almost all the turtles, crabs, fish, turkeys, ostriches, and rats drop their meat or other food, which you can eat raw or cook.
