MagmaFurnace - Weapons, Bosses and More!

It is a mod that adds new cute but deadly mobs to Minecraft. The mod is still under development, and a lot of content has not yet been added, but it is well worth installing it only because of 14 new mobs with amazing animations and textures. Besides truly unique and elaborate mobs, you will also appreciate the utility of their loot, which will allow you to craft new weapons and armor for your character.

Mobs

Desert Scorpion. It is a massive and dangerous mob that can impose the Poison effect on the player. Its health stock is like that of the vanilla creeper. It drops scorpion shells, from which you will subsequently be able to create new armor and weapons.

Ground Dragon. It is a large and clumsy lizard with 30 health points and very unexpected attacks. It drops tough rocks, from which you can also craft items.

Archaeus. It is a large prehistoric bone lizard with 180 health points and the ability to quickly fly away from the enemy to attack them from the air. Like its ancestors, it can breathe fire. After death, it drops bones and the soul fire. It can be used as a light source, provided you have OptiFine installed, or as a crafting ingredient for a new cool sword.

Yeti. It is a large and furry analog of the vanilla golem with 30 health points. It is unremarkable except for its dimensions and drops nothing.

Winter Horn. It is a big and powerful beast that lives amidst the ice. It can both attack directly and evoke something like small earthquakes, which will effectively damage mobs within a radius of ten blocks. It can boast 200 health points and drops the yeti fur and sometimes horns, from which you will be able to create a new cool sword.

Grove Deer. It can be seen from afar thanks to a rather odd glow that emanates from even odder particles it features. It has a health stock equal to that of the vanilla creeper and drops the essence and fur. The latter will be useful for crafting the frost and flare staffs.

Meadow Hare. It is a funny little magic rabbit that drops food. It is not aggressive, but it is just as difficult to catch as its vanilla counterparts.

Deer. It is not aggressive and edible but extremely timid.

Boulder Crawler. It can skillfully disguise itself in caves, has a creeper's life stock, and drops rocks.

Arctic Fluffox. It is the cutest mob, along with the hare. It is similar to the vanilla fox in terms of behavior patterns and drops meat and wool, from which you will be able to make a small warm hat and cloak.

Fluffox. It looks almost like the vanilla one but is fluffier. After death, it also drops wool and meat.

Greater Goblin. It is a larger version of the vanilla golem with a log in its hands. It can hit you with that log very painfully, and even when it misses, you will still receive some damage if you are close enough to it. However, it drops nothing.

Goblin. It can boast stunning motion animations, a small knife, and a touching look. Even so, it is an aggressive mob, and all the cuteness ends when a flock of such goblins attacks you, and you have to simply flee from the battlefield. Fortunately, it has only eight health points.

Items

From the fluffox fur, you can make warm hats and fur vests with quite a good protection level, which is slightly weaker than iron. The deer antlers can be used to craft the hunter mask, which is rather decorative but has two defense points.

From the rocks dropped by the boulder crawler, the horns and wool of the winter horn, and the scorpion shells, you can create an armor with more serious characteristics, which are equal to those of the vanilla iron armor. Moreover, its set is fuller, as it includes not only the helmet and chestplate but also boots.

From the loot dropped by the new mobs, you will also be able to craft three combat staffs with very decent damage levels. Two of them cast fire, and one casts ice.

Besides, the mod adds a spear with eight damage points and a chance to poison the enemy, a small stone knife with a damage level of six, two swords — fire and ice — with a chance to cast the respective effect, and a scythe with nine damage points and a chance to hit several enemies at once.
