The legendary Jumanji game from the legendary movie is now available in Minecraft. The mod adds a special game board – a portal to a new Jumanji dimension full of new original mobs, bosses, and biomes. Roll the dice and go on an adventure!!

The Portal

First, you need to study all the nearby caves carefully and find new ore. It’s generated quite often, and you can use any pickaxe to mine it, starting with an iron one. Finally, you’ll get one or two Jumanji crystals from the ore block. Stock up on such crystals in advance because it will be they that will become be your guides to the world of Jumanji.

Next, you should craft the game board. It consists of four blocks of any boards and one Jumanji crystal and can be crafted on the workbench.

Place the board on any solid block and right-click on it with a crystal in your hand if you are ready to go on an adventure. Voila, you are in a new dimension. But keep in mind that the portal can bring you to a random place, perhaps even underground. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have any specific spawn point.

Biomes

The nature of the Jumanji dimension is a perfect jungle Minecraft may have. Wide spaces covered with greens, the ground burnt out in the scorching sun and red from the abundant clay, trees overwhelming with their size, and strange bright plants literally make you feel the atmosphere of the hot tropics around you.

As for biomes – there aren’t many of them in the dimension. There are as few as three global and unmixed forests – the Jungle, the Palm Biome, and the Swamp. There are also mixed forests, mountains, plains, and the rest that the square world generation implies, but still, it is and will be the same Jungle.

The mod adds two new trees beyond the vanilla ones (the vanilla trees in the dimension are mostly represented by the Savannah Acacias) – the Jumanji tree and thePalm tree. You can collect them, get their seedlings, and use their wood to craft the ordinary vanilla building blocks with an eatremely uncommon warm texture.

Three new plants added to the vanilla ones will also be randomly generated by biomes, mainly in the Jungle Forest. You can collect them but can’t eat them.

Beyond that, in the mines you can find a new stone, which is slightly more covered with greens than the vanilla Mossy Cobblestone. It has a pleasant texture, but you can’t use it to craft vanilla blocks – only a stone or a cobblestone.

When traveling around the dimension, you can often find villages in addition to forests, trees, swamps, and local fauna. Yes, these are absolutely vanilla villages with Peasants, Golems, and cats, just like in the ordinary Overworld. They are generated quite often, all of them are from the Savannah biome, which can be seen by the inhabitants’ clothes and their peculiar brown houses.

Animals

Jumanji’s main feature is the animals that inhabit this large creative dimension. And the mod adds really a lot of animals.

Cassowary . This is meat and eggs, your walking lunch for the next few days. In fact, this is a modified chicken model.

Buffalo bull. Initially, not aggressive to the player, but after the first strike it begins to attack with his rather powerful horned head. The bull has bull’s health, that is, a lot of it, but without any drop, so it’s up to you – to attack it or not.

Big elephant. It’s really big and very enduring with 1000 HPs. It’s generally indifferent to the player, but like most of the animals, it will totally oppose, even accidental, hits from the player or other mobs. It enjoys plenty of strength, as well as speed, so even an upgraded Netherite armor won’t save you. There is no drop from the elephant either, so you don’t need to kill it. However, you can swiftly ride an elephant, even untamed, through the jungle. For this, just right-click on the elephant. Press the Shift button to get off the elephant.

Crocodile. The crocodile is large and aggressive towards other mobs but is completely indifferent to the player – it will attack only for self-defense. Attacks are moderately strong, health is 15 hearts, zero drop.

Forest elephant. This cutie has less health, only 200 HPs and somewhat more modest dimensions, but as for the rest, it’s similar to its big gray brother.

Giraffe. The animal is big, tall, and timid. Quickly runs away from any received damage.

Jaguar. Unlike any other cats, it’s dangerous for your chickens and sheep only. It prefers not to attack people, if it has an opportunity.

Steppe buffalo. Cute, fast, and horny. And delicious, because it drops from 3 pieces of raw beef per carcass.

Hippopotamus. The first of the mods of this mod that is clearly aggressive to the player. 35 HPs, but rather weak attacks with its muzzle.

Lion. Another absolutely aggressive animal that attacks literally all the moving things, including the player. 26 health hearts, high speed.

Lioness. The lioness won’t like you right away either. Its only advantage is as few as 15 health hearts, which is not actually an advantage, considering that in the square world natural environment they attack in packs.

Hyena. An incredibly naturalistic model but weak as a mob. Few HPs, attacks only for self-defense, drops skin.

Mandrill. The monkey that presented Simba to the whole pride. Surprisingly aggressive, but has very little health – only 6 hearts – and uses attacks to hide away from the player, that is, it won’t finish off.

Orangutan. It looks amazing, but it’s extremely useless, is more of a decor and filling of the endless jungle.

Ostrich. A terribly big and nervous bird. Quickly runs away as soon as sees the player. However, if you attack it first, it will defend itself with quite powerful hits to the head. Drops chicken meat.

Wildebeest. Another kind of delicious antelope. Like a larger brother, it also drops raw beef, but in much smaller quantities.

Tiger. The second most vicious representative of the feline. You can distinguish it from a jaguar by its larger size. And it’s also squarer, if this comparison can help you in Minecraft.

Zebra. A striped horse. It behaves just like a horse. And it has as much life as a horse. And you can ride it like a horse.

People

In the classic Jumanji game, there were several game characters who both helped the player and harmed everyone. They have also been added into the game, and now you can meet them traveling around the map.

Van Pelt. The hunter who almost killed everyone in the first movie. He is an antagonist in Minecraft – even has his boss strip. But in fact, he can be considered a full-fledged monster – he has only 15 health hearts and not dangerous arrow attacks. However, he summons evil jaguars in battle – three pieces at a time, which is already becoming a serious obstacle on your way to victory. Drops Jumanji crystals after death.

Jorgen the Cruel. Another antagonist of the Jumanji universe and a boss in Minecraft. 50 HPs, prefers direct attacks and summons small assistants-henchmen.

Jorgen’s henchmen. Additional hostile mobs, which you’ll often find in the vastness of the Jumanji dimension. They are as strong as the vanilla zombies, attack in close combat, and aren’t generally dangerous to a more or less experienced player.

Nigel Billingsley. A mobile assistant, a mobile guide to the world of Jumanji. Appears immediately after you get to this dimension, at the very beginning. When interacting with him, he tells you a short story about the happening events.
