Gilded Armor: Protection Against Piglins

Any journey to the Nether implies careful planning and a detailed list of things that you need to take with you. If the player already has a shulker box, they put all the resources and items there. That is particularly true if you are going to the bastion remnants. However, the designer of a mod called Gilded Armor decided to change the game and added a new armor set that would be identical to the netherite armor in terms of characteristics but also has golden inclusions that would not attract piglins.

Many players have asked the developers to implement some way to explore the Nether biomes in Minecraft without having to be afraid that dozens or even hundreds of piglins will attack you from all corners. Mojang has been unwilling to address this issue, so one fan has decided to make the Gilded Armor mod that solves it. However, you should understand that this armor does not have any special features except the visual side and the ability to protect against piglins.

Review of the Gilded Armor Mod

The new armor type added by the Gilded Armor mod is quite eye-pleasing. While the usual netherite version was dark and dull, and you did not always want to wear it, the gilded armor will arouse the interest of any category of players. Just look at how cool this set looks with its golden inclusions on different levels, elaborate textures, transitions, and gradients! It is not just color filling but gradient transitions, thanks to which the appearance of this armor becomes even more attractive. So you will not have to take one piece of gold armor with you and put it on once you get there. It will be enough to equip the new set and enchant it with all the necessary effects, and it will perform exactly the same functions as the netherite version but will additionally save you from piglins. Besides, you will enjoy a unique look that compares favorably to the other sets available in the vanilla Minecraft. So we recommend that you install this mod, as it indeed serves an important purpose in one of the in-game dimensions.

You will be able to enchant this armor in the vanilla way. It will be enough to put the item in the enchantment table, take lapis lazuli with you, and have the necessary amount of experience. If you wish to combine several effects, you should use the smithing table. By the way, the gilded armor is crafted precisely in the latter: you will need to combine a netherite element, say, leggings, with a gold ingot. As a result, you get the new set that completely protects you against piglins in the Nether. All the characteristics and effects are preserved, but you should not forget about the dangers and your behavior.

Thus, if you attack a piglin yourself, your armor will not save you: the mobs will automatically shout a war cry, and all piglins will gather to attack you. It is also not recommended to visit the bastion remnants without this armor. Even so, all mobs there will attack you if you try to take something from the chests or start breaking blocks, especially those containing gold.

That is basically all that is added by the Gilded Armor mod. So if you would like to visit the Nether more often without having to worry about piglins, be sure to add it to your build.
