As for now, we can highlight the following features of Geologic Expansion:

· Prismatic Caldera – a new thermal biome that was created specially for this mod. There is a separate paragraph about it further in the article;

· Prismatic Stone. A new type of blocks in Minecraft, resembling a colored cobblestone. You can paint it and create different types of elements from it: stairs, slabs, ans walls;

· Geysers – a separate structure in the game world in the form of a block, which can erupt over time, demonstrating a beautiful effect;

· Limestone – a relatively new block, a stone in the game that you can mostly find underground. It’s usually found in Minecraft above a deep slate;

· Thickets – a plant block that you can use to artificially «age» buildings. It’s a perfect element for decoration and architecture that allows you to create unique buildings. It’s usually found under a podzol or a mossy cobblestone;

· Ducks – new types of friendly mobs in Minecraft who like to spend long hours in the water: swimming and catching different types of fish. You can exchange their finds for seeds.

The main feature of the Geological Expansion mod is a new Caldera biome. It stands out for its appearance and attracts attention, because it introduces multicolored blocks all over the island. It looks a bit like a terracotta biome, but completely different materials are used here. If you find such a location, be sure to remember it so that you can return later, since calderas don’t spawn very often in Minecraft, and you can find ducks, geysers, prismatic stone, thickets, and limestone in such locations. These materials will be in high demand after installing Geological Expansion, whether it’s a server or a single mode.

If you play with this kind of mods, then you’ll love new blocks added here. In fact, this is another kind of colored materials in Minecraft, in addition to wool, glass, and concrete, which differ by texture features. If you find such an island, you don’t need to cut it down, but you can build it up, add some constructions, unique towers, or build a castle. Then, this location will stand out from all the others. In general, resources and blocks from Geological Expansion locations will always be in demand, since materials are finite here compared to vanilla blocks.

Geysers – a separate item that deserves attention. This structure spawns in calderas and isn’t activated by default. Then you’ll just fly down to the same point and will be thrown up again indefinitely. With such geysers, you can now create bright and unique types of carousels, and there has never been such s thing in Minecraft. And a geyser can be activated by an ordinary red torch if you want.

Well, the last thing on the list is new types of creatures/strong>, ducks, which are friendly to you by default. They spawn in different game areas, but mostly in calderas. They can fish, often swim in the water, and considering the fact that new biomes from Geological Expansion mainly consist of water, then finding ducks here isn’t a problem. They drop meat and feathers, and you can craft new types of farms with such mobs. And don’t forget about the thickets: they help to age the building or just add more greenery to it to hide it in the jungle and other similar biomes.

In general, it can be said that there aren’t many functions in the Geological Expansion mod, however, such an add-on is worth installing to get this biome. There will be about 200 different blocks with similar structures, which are basically divided into groups of colors: almost the same as the dyes in the vanilla version of the game. If you want to jump on geysers, use new blocks to build different constructions, decorate them or just breed birds, pay attention to the Geological Expansion add-on and give it a try.
