Gaia Dimension

It is a small mod that adds a new crystal dimension full of sparkling biomes. Its structure is similar to the Overworld but consists entirely of diverse crystals that will be useful in crafting various blocks, armor, and weapons.

Initial Steps

To get to the new dimension, you will need to create a portal and a special diamond flint and steel.

Note! The portal will work in the desert or rocky biome only. In all other biomes, it will simply not activate.

The portal is created from the redstone and lapis lazuli crystals mixed with a gold ingot. The crystals can be obtained by smelting the lapis lazuli and redstone in a furnace.

From these blocks, you will need to build a standard portal frame.

To activate the portal, craft a diamond flint and steel from one diamond and a gold ingot.

Then, ignite the portal and go on a new journey across the unknown dimension.

Biomes

As in the Overworld, you will find the biomes similar to the vanilla ones there. You will have to see nature, caves, dungeons, and local animals.

The tall towers full of various mobs serve there as dungeons. You will not encounter the usual vanilla zombies or skeletons there, as all the mobs are unique and quite interesting. Besides them, you will find a large number of chests with diverse loot at the top. The principle is familiar: the higher you climb, the more valuable loot you can get.

Accordingly, at the very top, you will find a strong boss and a cool reward for your efforts.

Mobs

The mod adds a large number of new mobs. Some of them look threatening but, in fact, do not pose any danger to the player. Some are weak and low-level. However, most of them will readily confront you as indeed powerful opponents.

What is most important is that the new mobs are indeed unique and elaborate. However, they rarely drop something other than experience orbs.

Ores and Blocks

The mod brings numerous ores, which is not surprising, though, given that the entire world here consists of ores and crystals. So you will easily find them both underground and on the surface.

The diversity of building blocks is also amazing — there are really a lot of them here, and even ordinary dirt is uncommon and can be used for various buildings.

Armor and Weapons

The new armor types are indeed numerous and diverse, but only five sets thereof can be considered truly noteworthy. These are fairly rare, and some are even uncraftable and can only be obtained from bosses. The good news is that none of them can be understood as a cheat because even the strongest set barely surpasses the vanilla diamond armor in terms of characteristics.

The standard weapons and tools can be crafted from the local ores. The weakest ones are agate, which are equal to the wooden tools. The strongest ones are goshenite, which can be compared to the netherite tools.

Besides the standard weapons, the mod also adds artifact ones, which you can get by passing challenges in the towers and killing bosses. These weapons are already more impressive — they are stronger, more powerful, deal more damage, and have different effects. The Gaia Champion Sword, which deals 20 damage points to the enemy, can reasonably be considered the coolest blade.

The mod is constantly being updated and supplemented by new dungeons, mobs, and various artifacts. So if the universe of crystals and ores appeals to you, be sure to try to explore it yourself.
