In this review, we touch upon another issue of «realistic» Minecraft, and if you want to make the entire cubic world even cooler, be sure to try the FootprintParticle mod. Have you ever wondered why there are no footprints in Minecraft? Left, for example, by animals or players. After all, it would be great to see a creeper, a spider, or a civilian crossing a biome. The latter option is especially topical, since an NPC can often «flee away» somewhere, and you won’t find him easily. You’ll have to wait for the night when the villager returns to his bed. The situation is generally familiar, isn’t it?
From now on, there will be «footprints» from different mobs, animals, and players in the game. This is a simple mod with only one option, however, the developer has provided flexible customization options, which make this add-on even more valuable. Here, you can choose the footprint size, the mobs that will leave them, the approximate time of their «saving» on the road, and many more interesting features. If you are ready to read a detailed review, then it’s time to move on to these interesting options …
The vanilla version of the game has always lacked footprints, although many games, even the most primitive ones, have them. And the developers have never mentioned such ideas, so enthusiasts decided to create their own FootprintParticle mod that adds this function. From now on, almost any mob, animal, or player will leave footprints in the game world, and it’s up to you to decide on the desired parameters. For example, you can leave them only for civilians, players, and certain mobs. This is convenient when the server has a kind of theme and style, and the project owner wants to slightly improve the gameplay and visual effects.
These mechanics open up many new opportunities for the player, who can now control some animals or find out when you’ve been «visited». The FootprintParticle mod will be in great demand on PvP servers, where there are certain clans, castes, guilds, which have their own defenders and intelligence. If, for example, you set a long cycle of particle saving for footprints, then you can find out that someone visited your place. The same system will allow you to track down certain mobs in the game world, hunt bosses, search for slime and other less frequent creatures at night.
Have you decided to find horses in the game? It will also be possible to track them by footprints, see where they graze and hide from the player. And this system allows you to set up certain rules for literally every mob, because the FootprintParticle mod developer has carefully thought out many different parameters. Here are some of them:
· Opportunity to select the blocks on which the tracks will be generated. That is, you can literally choose which blocks will show particles and which won’t;
· Choose mobs to track;
· Choose the footprint type and size, for example, small, large, and so on;
· Appearance of footprints by the imprint depth, for example, they can be deep and literally grow into the ground, or it may be light footprint version, which are barely visible within several blocks;
· Choose dimensions where the mod functions will work. For example, we’ve checked them in the «Nether», and there are traces there too, although you can choose not to show them there.
As you can see, there are many parameters, and you can easily choose the perfect configuration for your criteria. The FootprintParticle mod is great for both single-player survival and Minecraft servers, but it’s much more interesting to play when you have other players with you. Here, you can create full-fledged detective-focused maps, where you’ll need to track down the victims or murderers, the ones you suspect. In general, this add-on opens up a lot of opportunities for the players, and it’s up to you to decide how to use these functions. If you don’t have any ideas, but you still want to try this mod, write in the comments, and we’ll tell you about other ways to use it in any game world.
