Dream Expansion

A small mod for the Fabric version of Minecraft, which adds the opportunity to craft wooden items with textures corresponding to the selected type of wood. The mod also makes it possible to use such vanilla items as Echo Shards and Amethyst Crystals to craft weapons and tools.

Blocks and tools

From now on, you can forget about standard templates when crafting standard vanilla wooden items. No more similar bookcases or barrels! If you use oak, your functional blocks will have the oak color, and if you craft something of the Infernal wood boards, the items, accordingly, will get the color of this very wood.

The same applies to wooden weapons and tools. Now, they also get the color of the wood they have been crafted of.

The mod also adds one new block – shaped wood boards, which you can craft on the workbench from half-blocks of the necessary color. You can use new boards to craft new steps and half-blocks. The boards are more of a decorative nature but look good and significantly expand quite a limited range of vanilla textures.

Stone items

You can also use stone to craft two new items – a stone door and a stone cover. In functional terms, they are similar to wooden ones but look nice.

Echo Shards and Crystals

This is a really pleasant change in the game mechanics. Unlike before, when you collected Amethyst Crystals just for crafting a dubious telescope and didn’t want to find any Echo Shards in chests of the Ancient City at all, now these items really make sense, since you can use them to craft swords and tools. Besides, in the same Ancient City, you’ll be able to find new forging patterns to enhance them.

Amethyst Crystals can be used to craft weapons and tools not inferior to iron ones. In addition, new forging templates will allow you to enhance them. The recipe for crafting an amethyst sword and tools is similar to standard recipes.

Echo Shards will give you more serious weapons and tools – their characteristics are equal to Netherite ones, which, indeed, doesn’t meant that you should forget that it’s easier to get Netherite than to travel in Warden’s habitats. You can use a new blacksmith template to craft weapons and tools of Echo Shards using the blacksmith table made of amethyst tools.
