Reworked Underwater Temple in Minecraft

Minecraft underwater temples hide a lot of interesting things, and the player still has to visit this dungeon to loot sponges from time to time. These structures are generated only underwater, mainly in large biomes such as ocean. You can even see it from the air when flying low above the ground. They also come here for rosemary and other important materials that are difficult to get in ordinary survival mode. If you don’t like the standard generation of underwater fortresses, you can install the DnT Ocean Monument Replacement add-on, which will completely redesign their exterior in a couple of clicks. You definitely haven’t seen such buildings in Minecraft before, and the developer has demonstrated and proved what he’s capable of!

The DnT Ocean Monument Replacement mod completely changes underwater fortresses and reworkes most of the location. As we’ve already said, there are several mod versions with the DnT prefix that change ancient cities and islands in the Edge, witch houses and much more. This is a unique gaming experience that the developer has conveyed in his mod, so everything is perfect here in terms of architecture and design. However, at the same time it solves another important task: players have more opportunities for gameplay, exploring, and passing new locations. Are you ready to give it a try?

Underwater fortresses in Minecraft have undergone major changes, and a single glance at a few screenshots from our review is enough to understand how the previously familiar dungeon has transformed. However, there are few elements left of the vanilla structure. Further, we’ll tell you what will change after installing DnT Ocean Monument Replacement:

· The standard vanilla underwater fortresses will be completely removed;

· New types of underwater temples will be automatically generated in random places. But you won’t be able to track them using maps and seed, since this is a completely new structure;

· From now on, the monuments will be called the «Trident Challenge»;

· You can find new structures, using the explorer’s maps in a civilian village, and if there is a settlement nearby, be sure to buy a couple of maps;

· To quickly search or move to the new location, you can use the /locate structure nova_structures:trident_trail_monument command if you have the admin rights on the server or on the map;

· Now, an entire set of buildings will appear underwater, with a huge temple as the main one, surrounded with a large number of additional buildings. Each of them hides valuable loot;

· Guardians won’t appear naturally in the new structure, although the ancient guardians will spawn here by default;

· By defeating the boss, you can get the opportunity to loot unique artifacts that can be found in these dungeons only;

· The entire structure consists of a large number of labyrinths and additional buildings between which you can move.

The exterior of these temples is really impressive: the underwater temple has become by times larger, and you’ll immediately notice the main building. Compared to the vanilla version of the game, it’s about 5-10 times larger, depending on the type of building generated, as you can always find slightly modified versions of temples, which are all pretty different. There are many additional buildings next to the main temple, which perfectly complement the overall style of this location. You’ll have to take a lot of potions, food, and gear to collect all the valuable loot inside and defeat the bosses. Indeed, there are really a lot of them here, so the underwater fortress in the DnT Ocean Monument Replacement mod has become much harder to conquer!

As soon as the player gets inside the temple, they’ll notice that it’s more spacious. It isn’t a closed cube a limited space: in this add-on, the developer made spacious rooms, which don’t «overpower the player»; you can feel free move from one room to another, exploring every corner. Also, don’t forget about the bosses and mobs that live here. They spawn in different rooms, which is often the place with the most valuable loot. You’d better bring armor with «Underwater breathing» and «Underwater walking» effects to feel comfortable underwater.

What can we say to sum up? The DnT Ocean Monument Replacement mod is a great opportunity to review the standard approach to generating underwater temples and try something new. There is a very well-thought-out system of rooms, passages, loot distribution, and mob spawning. If you are bored with standard temples and just want an exciting adventurous gameplay, then this mod is a perfect choice. In general, the developer of the whole DnT mod series creates cool locations for the vanilla version of Minecraft, and we strongly recommend giving all his add-ons a try, and there are really a lot of them…
