To grow various ores or even diamonds on an industrial scale on the windowsill of your base, you will need not only ores themselves but also a special soil for their cultivation. Thus, diamonds grow on diamond blocks. Fortunately, you will not have to renew the 'soil' or find new 'seeds' — it will be enough just to put a diamond block and the diamond itself into the pot once and then only wait for harvest, which can be easily collected using a funnel and chest.

In this way, you will be able to grow almost any in-game ore or gem, including the ancient debris. When you plant an ore, you will need to put a block, say, iron or netherite, and put an ingot of the respective ore instead of a seed.
