The Minecraft combat system can’t exist without all other things, just like you can’t imagine mining or construction without the combat system. You are literally surrounded by hostile mobs, who are ready to tear you apart at any moment. Zombies, skeletons, and spiders will keep hunting the player all night long, but in other dimensions, such as the Nether or the End, there are plenty of different creatures that can attack at any moment. However, now we’re talking about the regular Minecraft world. Have you ever noticed that grass interferes with your attack? For example, you decide to kill a cow, a sheep, or a zombie, but your sword strikes the grass blades?

But this is your chance to save your health, since each strike allows you to inflict additional damage, and if you miss one, a zombie can come even closer to the player, a skeleton will shoot an arrow, and a creeper may explode. Unfortunately, it’s the standard Minecraft mechanics to blame for everything here! Even if you set specific textures to improve visibility and remove excess grass, you won’t change the game physics, and everything will remain at the same level: the only difference is that now you will hit the air but get into foliage or grass…

You can use different mods and tweaks to solve this problem, so we decided to tell you about the Attack Through Grass add-on, which slightly changes the Minecraft mechanics and allows you to avoid hitting the grass! You can attack right through the grass without destroying it. At the same time, you can use any weapon, be it a stone sword, a diamond sword, a bow, or just a hand. It works on almost any version currently available for Minecraft and allows you to effectively fight any mobs or players. From now on, no grass will stop you.

The tweak is quite simple, but very important for the combat system. If you have already dealt with such problems, be sure to install Attack Through Grass. Maybe, you just used not to notice how the grass prevents you from inflicting damage, but mobs often spawn on the plains or in the forest, and if you need to fight a large number of creatures, you start striking them with a sword, ruining some blocks with grass or grass particles along the way. By installing the Attack Through Grass add-on, you will forget about all the problems.

You shouldn’t treat this tool as an important element of the combat system, but just as an addition to it. For example, hundreds of different mods have been created for Minecraft, improving the combat mechanics in the game, since the standard ones are outdated, and the Mojang developers don’t pay due attention to these aspects. So, be sure to take a closer look at such tools as: Netherite (new armor elements for players made of Netherite), Combat Roll (additional techniques for dodging blows), Epic Better Combat (combo strikes with smooth animation and a large selection of different movements in the game).

There is another mod option that removes hits on grass in Minecraft, which is called CleanCut. So, it’s up to you to decide on the option to install, depending on the available version of the add-on, the build, the loader used (Forge, Fabric), and many other factors. We recommend using one of them to hit mobs only. This will allow you to deal more damage to any creatures and players in the fields, without accidentally breaking grass blocks or any cultivated crops.

It works both on the server and in the client version and tackles with quite important problems in Minecraft.
